Great price/quality ratioWe stayed 2 nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the beautiful area. Cap blanc nez and cap gris nez are approx. at 40 min of the hotel. Le Touquet and Berck (where you can see wild seals resting in the bay) are at approx. 30 min. away. The staff is super friendly and always available. The owner suggested us to walk up to a high dune named Mont St Frieux. It's a 2 hour walk where you'll be surrounded by nature. We loved it so - if you're into nature - you should do it if you have the time to. There is a big supermarket (Intermarché) just around the corner (even open on Sundays until 12.30) but we didn't need to go there since we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The restaurant serves delicious meals. The rooms are basic but they have all you need for a relaxing 2 or 3 nights stay while visiting the area. We hope to be back soon.

Not What We ExpectedRecently stayed here for 1 night on our return from a lovely touring holiday of Belgium, Germany, Austria and France. The accommodation and dining is in the rear purpose built block which is very basic (probably 1960/70s) and tired and could benefit from an extensive face lift. Compared with other hotels we visited on our trip, within a similar price range, there was no comparison. We did not have an evening meal and as breakfast is only served from 8.30! it was too late for our onward journey. The front house fasard gives the impression of a much nicer hotel and the gardens were nothing like the website pictures. Room very very basic and ensuite very small. Would prefer to pay a bit more with better facilities. No other local restaurants unless you drive to the main town area - only found 1 reasonable place to eat.

Don't judge a book by it's coverBooked to stay here on our last night in France after travelling up from Les Gets and Chamonix before heading home. On approach the front looks a bit unloved and in need of some light maintenance but the actual hotel is around the back of this building. Room was spacious and towards the back of the hotel. Nice and clean - a little outdated but as we said, we were only here for one night. Chap who runs the place did not speak any english and my french is terrible but we got there in there end. The hotel provides lovely food in the evening, which we all enjoyed. All home cooked and not too expensive. You had a choice of starters, main and desserts - all 3 items were around 19 euros. All very filling and tasty. Choices of beer, soft drinks and various wines as well. We ate here as there wasnowhere else to really eat unless you wanted to drive elsewhere. We did not stay for breakfast as we needed to head home on the Eurotunnel - to get there we were only 40 mins away. Lots of people in the dining room for breakfast. All in all a surprizing and pleasant stay.
