interesting staywe have stayed in lapta before so had an idea what to expect. we booked a bungalow so it was like a small apartment very nice we had a garden view so although a large tree was on the terrace not much of a view but it made it private, very clean and spacious not much English tv bathroom functional could maybe do with a bit of TLC. food was just ok been before so had an idea its more for Turkish people than English but we always found something to eat but its not like the all inclusive resorts of Spain. outside area is lovely large pool and a smaller one although we prefered the beach, you have to cross the road but its only 5 mins to walk from the hotel there is a beach bar that belongs to the hotel it doesn't do food but there are 2 bars on the beach that do we only ate in The Fly Inn and it was fine. there are lots of restaurants and bars along the road all very nice we ate in a few of them to have a change from the hotel. it is easy to get in the town of Kyrenia by dolmus just wait anywhere on the road to be picked up its about £1 each each way well worth it. we didn't get time to go to the spa but it looked very nice and reasonable prices in the bungalow the A/c unit is above the bed so we didn't have it on when we were sleeping because it blows onto the bed so dont think id have liked to stay in the heat of the summer if you needed it on all night when we checked in it was late we were given directions to the room but i think it is nice to show new guests to their rooms the hotel grounds are large so we got lost in the room is a safe but no instructions how to use it and no info on pool towels were given you just get them from reception but some advice in the room would be helpfull all in all a very nice hotel just needs to sharpen a few things up

Won't be returningBeen a regular visitor for several years. My mother and I went for a simple coffee after visiting the Saturday market. Placed an order and nothing arrived, 10 minutes later we reordered. The price for two instant coffees was about about £4 (expensive for cyprus) and once they arrived, instant payment was demanded by the waiter which has never happened to us before. I have given this two stars because the setting is beautiful but I am very disappointed with the service and will not be returning.

Don't bother with coffee, unless you have hours to spare. We've always considered the outside area where you can obtain coffees as somewhere to go after visiting the Saturday Market. This is now a joke, poor students who don't know one type of coffee from another. Poor girl behind the counter hadn't been taught to make an espresso and was using bog standard Nescafe. No change in the cash till, so customers borrowing from each other. Table after table of people were leaving after having waited half an hour or more. In the past it has been a pleasant place to go, now its a disaster area. They are supposed to have a new Manager in charge, but he was conspicuous by his absence. In the end we were given three Latte after ordering Nescafe without milk, an espresso and a cappuccino. Poor waiter wandering around the few tables that were left. We took our latte because Waiter looked as if he would burst into tears at any minute.

Saturday Market !not so good.We came upon this market whilst viewing the hotel. It isn't very big,and it follows the style of the car boot sale.Everyone is friendly but the size is about the same as a small bowling green. We were under the impression according to the guide book that it was about 100 stalls!no way.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST HOTEL BY FARThe service in this hotel is unbelievably disgusting!!! it was my first ever time booking to stay, normally i go for higher end hotels but was on a budget this time. on arrival i went to the reception at 2am, the man who was checking us in was absolutely disgraceful so rude. he took our passports gave us our keys told us the room number and sent us on our way!!! DIDNT EVEN ADVISE WHICH WAY THE ROOM WAS and if you have ever been to this hotel its not easy to find a room. we had to ask someone who was randomly smoking on there balcony HOW EMBARASSING. So after 20 mins found our room it was disgusting flies on the best, the room was so hot i put on the aircon, IT WAS SO LOUD SOUNDED LIKE A TRACTOR i tried to call reception the line was so bad i could hardly hear the man. i told the receptionist its impossible to sleep with the aircon like this its soooo loud. hes response back was ( acik tut oda sogusun da basini agritinca kapat ) KEEP THE AIRCON ON UNTIL THE ROOM COOLS DOWN THEN SWITCH IT OFF WHEN IT GIVES YOU A HEADACHE!!!! THIS IS THE KIND OF SERVICE THEY ARE PROVIDING!!!! The next morning me and my partner went to breakfast which i couldnt eat i nearly threw up it was so bad the hygiene level was terrible. i went to reception after to complain about the service i recieved the previous night and this receptionist started laughing saying ( ONUN HUYUDUR OYLE KONUSUR!!!!) THAT HOW HE SPEAKS THATS THE WAY HE IS !! i even mentioned this to a few friends of mine who work in hotels and they said they all know about this man as there hotels wouldnt take him on due to lack of respect. seems like whoever comes over and is uneducated no sense of professionalism is here in this hotel. This hotel is a joke and disgusting i would rather sleep on the beach than this hotel. the worst hotel by far !!! OH AND THE ROOMS ARE SO ANCIENT LOOKS LIKE HENRY VII STAYED THERE SO CREEPY!!! never ever ever stay here!!! stay far away
