  Beautiful mountain lodge, unique setting

  We came to Gran Paradiso to hike and experience the unique Valdostan region and culture, and this hotel and its proprietors could not have given us a warmer, more comfortable home base. The hotel is literally on the doorstep of the national park; we set off on foot to each day's hike fresh from breakfast (best ever in any hotel on any continent) of fresh fruit and yogurt, wonderful local meat and cheese, tarts and croissants if you could manage all that. The hotel landlady gave us perfect hiking suggestions and directions, lent us her bike, and gave us all sorts of inside-info on local history and nature (turns out her family has been there since the 12th century). The hotel itself is lovely without being glitzy; it's relatively new but fits into the surroundings, and uses the local stone and beautiful woodwork of walnut, cherry and teak. It's a bit of a 10-minute walk into the pretty village but we enjoyed the stroll through the Alpine meadow, full of wildflowers. We had a mishap and had to call a doctor, and the hotel proprietors (who also speak French and English) helped us in every way. Really can't overstate the hotel, the view, the park, the region, and the hoteliers.

  exellent!

  A lovely hotel, lovely people. Located on the way to mount paradiso, it is the nearest white mountain in this season. the wooden building that built less than 20 years ago is very nice, the room, bad, shower, breakfast, all perfecto the hospitality is warm, the price is logical. what else one need?

  A wonderful place in Grand Paradise

  Lovely hotel, extremely well entertained, nice rooms with large balcony and great view, excellent sound proof windows, very clean, good breakfast, friendly and helpful owners, good location. A recommended place for your stay in Cogne!

  Wonderful Small Hotel in Cogne

  We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this hotel and highly recommend it. The rooms were comfortable, clean and each one had a small terrace to sit and enjoy the beautiful views of a Gran Paradiso Parc. It is the closest hotel to the Parc entrance which is a few minutes by car, and you can also easily walk into Cogne which has many great restaurants and offers a wide range of shopping and amenities. There are both inside and outside shared areas, to relax or have a picnic, and the breakfast each morning was perfect. The proprietors were lovely, accommodating and made sure that we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again for our next hiking trip to Cogne!

  Just outside of town with a spectacular view

  This little inn located in the oh-so-scenic cogne, was wonderful. The front desk is quite helpful in all aspects. Our room was cleaned thoroughly and refreshed daily. There is a small walk into town, but well worth the time it takes to view the gorgeous meadows and flower laden homes of Cogne. Romantic and worth of the money.
