SereneWe brought our dog with us, and all were welcomed by Cathy and Michael. The San Pedro River divides the property and we were able to walk along the River. The breakfasts were exceptional. We had enough room to entertain guests.

They mean it when they say "dog friendly"From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into the fold...our hosts Cathy and Michael and all the various creatures, domestic and wild, made us feel right at home. Our small Chihuahua mix, Milo, was a bit overwhelmed by 3 friendly and playful "giants", but they quickly got to know each other and all was fine. The Lazy Dog Ranch is close enough to town to make a quick trip for supplies or a meal, but far enough away to enjoy the solitude of the desert, river, and glorious night sky. We stayed in the Casita and Milo had the run of the pool area (supervised, of course due to potential wildlife.) The Casita was very comfortable and perfect for our needs. We enjoyed reading outside, watching for birds and wildlife, exploring the trail by the river, and had wonderful adventures exploring the local area. Be sure to ask Cathy or Michael for itinerary recommendations. We had only one day to explore and visited Tombstone (in an unusual way....before everything opened and it was invaded by tourists like us...we loved it that way.) Then we went on to Bisbee with the many galleries, mining history, and great-looking restaurants. We didn't eat there because we brought a picnic for our visit to Coronado National Memorial - be sure to make the drive to Monezuma Pass with the beautiful and sweeping views and short hike to the peak for even more vistas. We enjoyed our Casita so much we didn't leave for dinner, but created simple meals using the microwave and small fridge...we just wanted to enjoy the quiet and natural beauty of the place while we had the chance. Loved our stay and hope to return!! Btw, Michael makes THE best Irish Coffee ever.

Beautiful Stay and Best Hosts! What an amazing place this is. The grounds are amazing and the hosts do an amazing job giving you a background of the surrounding area and the history of the property itself. Its located about 10-15 minutes drive from the main area in Sierra Vista and is incredibly serene and quiet. The room was charming and clean and the breakfasts were a refreshing and tasty start to the morning! No review would be complete without thanking our gracious hosts and their beautiful pets! Odin, Porter, Quinn, Roxanne, Patron, Rita and Maggie.

An oasis in the Arizona DesertWhat a great vacation we just had at this oasis in the middle of the Arizona scrub desert (see additional more extensive review I wrote on their site) . Truly a wildlife and particularly birding paradise with all the amenities and a great pair of hosts. We can't wait to go back. Frank & Maria Gonzalez

Doggie paradiseThis place really is a dog paradise. They welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes so they can hang out and run free. We took our shy dog Gracie for her first trip and we all had fun. The host Cathy made sure the resident dogs didn't overwhelming Gracie and was very patience with her. The B&B is cozy, funky, and very comfortable. You have direct access to the San Pedro river which is priceless. It's quiet, dark, but only 20 minutes away from stores and food places. Cathy is super friendly and gave many good hiking and restaurant recommendations.
