A wonderful evening in an excellent restaurant. On a rainy Saturday evening we were passing through Le Lude and happened upon this delightful restaurant Our party of eight received a warm welcome and our waitress, who spoke excellent English, was delightful. The meal was one of the best that we had enjoyed during our holiday. Our last night in France was one to remember thanks to L'Auberge Alsacienne, it's great chef and friendly and efficient staff. Should we ever need accommodation in the area in the future this hotel will be our first choice.

A nice surpriseI stayed in this family run hotel for two nights recently. My room was very nice, very spatious and clean. I slept very well. The restaurant was good. Breakfast was not very abundant but it was ok. Le Lude is a very small town, with friendly people. This hotel was a nice surprise

A good place to stayFor the second time we broke our journey here from Toulouse to Ouistreham. This hotel offers a good sized room, clean and comfortable. Some of the decor is a little tired. Good food is offered in the dining room with a good menu du jour and breakfast is most satisfying. The welcome is warm and very cheerful.

Excellent welcome, outstanding service. We stayed at Logis L'Auberge Alsacienne in August 2015, after being on the road all day, driving from Biarritz in south west France. Unbeknownst to us, that day was one of the busiest days of the year for travelling on French motorways. A journey that according to Google maps should've taken 5 and a half hours, ended up taking 10 hours. It was 'bouchon' after 'bouchon' almost the whole way. It was horrendous and tempers were very frayed in our car! To say we were tired, hungry, bored and frazzled when we arrived at L'Auberge Alsacienne would be huge understatement! I have never been so glad to see a hotel in all my life...... After phoning ahead to the hotel owner to inform him that we were running hugely late, he was very calming and reassuring and said that he would keep us some dinner. When we eventually got there, he showed us to our family room, which was extremely comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. He gave us the wi-if code without us even asking for it. He then rustled up a delicious meal of fish pâté, steak-frites (with a fabulous sauce au poivre), followed by crème brûlée. It was just the nicest meal, served in a quiet garden terrace with one or two other clients. It was EXACTLY what we needed after a horrible day in the car. We went for an after dinner stroll to see the town of Le Lude and we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a lovely little town, with a beautiful château in the middle. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. The owner was extremely charming, friendly, kind and very welcoming. When I told him the next morning after breakfast that he had great reviews on Tripadvisor, he just nodded and said modestly 'I know'...... He was a lovely man and L'Auberge Alsacienne is a lovely hotel.

The restaurantHeading to Paris, I stopped at this restaurant "L'auberge Alsacienne". Oh my G... what a restaurant, I took the "Menu Du Jour":1/2 Flammenkuchen, Filet de Rouget aux Basilic, Sorbet for such a low cost for the plates served. I'll come again, Thank you Patric Grangé for your cooking and Thank you Jimmy for your hosting, even though I came late. Food, Place were so wonderful. Save a place for my return.
