Good priceWe got 2 nights to stay at Latido hotel. Its quiet far from the city but will be very nice in the future. Room was clean and big enough for 2 or 3 persons. Pool at the beach have good view to the sea but have to take the bus to this place about 3 mins.

gem hotel, great managementBeing with the family over last weekend in 1 of their many hotels in this compounds place ( The Pulse) . An annoyed side was that the place is under construction but hey, they aware of that and make it up for a great service in the room. 1) SERVICE : They upgrade you if there is possibility. Thump up on the new management. I was there for a site inspection more than half year before and so disappointed with their services. As a person who working in hospitality, i can tell where it went wrong ! And yes, it was management all about. This time had a chance to came back, i can tell the different... Their paying attentions to more details now. The happy man who is Front Office Manager name Long welcome us with the best hospitality manners and briefed us about the compounds and how system work, where to eat, what to do..etc. During our Stay, the staff from Guest center also called and checked satisfaction which was much appreciate. F&B : Holy Pig Resto. : food was tasty, not consistency yet though - need more training and coaching ( we ordered a smoked pork Rib the first day which was big cut - American style -nicely done. As it was too good, we ordered again the second day and it was super small cut -Vietnamese style- taste still good though but it better if big cut as the meat will be moist and juicy and that is the soul of the dish i guess. Nhau Dzo Restaurant served good Vietnamese cuisine for dinner in general, there is a little bit of lacking management for problem solving. We order a fried spring roll and it was over cooked ( dark brown fried dish), we asked to have a better one and it came back with the same even darker brown dish, so we refused to eat, but end up the dish still exist in our bill, i requested to take out and the staff hesitated just like you ordered you had to pay or so, another staff ( seem like more senior) approached us and ask " is there any problem with spring roll ? " lol Mexican Restaurant : great set lunch menu , friendly and well-trained staffs and great Restaurant manager ( the lady) who took good care of everyone in term of customer service. Cho Xua Restaurant : breakfast buffet was good in general. Lots of Vietnamese Guest and a little chaos with kids running around but as they have big size of restaurant, i am sure you can find the non disturbed- zone for breakfast in the morning ( exp -upstair ). Management walked around during breakfast which was good to know that it being in the good care ROOM : I recommend the Pulse hotel as it is new, adequate design and set up ( guess it has learnt from other hotel open before that - Muze or Bishou ). Room is much spacious ( 18 square meters for superior room which is good as the concept of these buildings are city hotel rooms and to support entertainment surroundings) and double size with the suite ( we knew both room types as we got upgraded from the superior room).Great Room amenities and room equipment . In general, it is a recommend to try it now as it is still on promotion, it worth a trial !

Good overall but room for improvementNice location for enjoying the Danang/ Hoi An area. Beautiful beaches nearby. Hotel itself nicely decorated but little things like chips in plaster, dinged up wood trim, torn shower seal and stains (mold?) around ventilation system in room makes it look older than just a couple of years. Appears that construction is continuous in area. Never given any info or map about surrounding shops, restaurants, etc. We were with a busy group....never did figure out where the swimming pool is. Little more cleaning, maintenance and little more customer service could make this a great place.

Still Going Strong After 2 yearsCocobay is resort is designed to serve guests staying on site with occasional day trips. This is the second time my family of 6 stayed here at Cocobay. We previously stayed at the MUSE, and this time at the LATIDO (both are a modern IKEA styled looking interior/exterior) with different facade colors and then moved to PARK REGIS in the same complex. The rooms are either a single suite or optionally there are larger commodious suites with bedroom and separate living area, which is good for larger groups/families because of the living area. After 2 years of use, the LATIDO mattresses still offer a good nights sleep however there is visible building wear and tear everywhere. The staff service is good although you get the feeling this is a budget minded management - if you get what I mean. it's important to smile and greet staff and they will smile back and serve you better. Breakfast is served at the LATIDO 1 building, all you can eat, and a good selection of Western and Vietnamese, but don't expect Cordon Bleu, be prepared for a wild rabble. For lunch and dinner there is a good selection of international foods which won't break the bank There is a huge open air swimming pool at the far end of the complex, but it's very exposed and better to swim in the afternoon or evening. Surf loving types should go to the VANESSA BEACHCLUB (part of the same hotel complex) which is reached by the free shuttle from all hotel lobbies. During the day the beach is very quiet however on weekend nights, things liven up with barbecues and very loud live music. EXTRA INFO
For a bit of one-upmanship, we also stayed at the recently opened 4 star PARK REGIS, part of the same complex, which is targeted at a more prestigious class ( they call it luxury in Vietnam) which has better quality fitting out and a beautiful swimming pool and inexpensive coffee terrace. (pictures of Park Regis follows)
