PeacefulSmaller and more peaceful than main clock resort complex The downside was that there were no walkable facilities although the only restaurant owned and run by a charming French couple was a blessing Nice and quiet although the motorway ( not visible) could be heard at times but never too intrusive

Pleasantly surprisedI exchanged my interval week and was allocated this accommodation. It is actually not in CLC world, which by the end our stay we were pleased about. There were three girlfriends sharing, and we found the accommodation comfortable, clean and very relaxing. Its not far from La Cala de Mijas, where we did our shopping and had beach days, and mainly ate out. And for the hours we spent here by the pool (heated..bonus) it was extremely quiet and peaceful. CLC would send a courtesy bus to go back and forth to the main resort and for transfers etc which was very helpful. Taxis would be a minute away from your phone call and all in all I just can't fault it. It has everything you need from a dishwasher to a washing machine and a tv with english stations for nights in. I would definitely go back.

Place to stay but things to knowThe time share is far away from the main CLC area. A car is really a must. The two bedroom 2 bath accommodations is very large, well air conditioned and comfortable. The terrace overlooks the pool and Mediterranean. If you like a private, quiet area this is the place for you. The pool is just steps from your terrace with comfortable lounges and shade if you want it. The area is gated and apartments alarmed for security. The villa has 3 TVs, which should be replaced with larger screened TVs and the dressers, night tables and some furniture should be replaced with new, undated pieces. However, for us, we would stay there for its privacy and easy access to La Cala Mijas.

Hidden gem.. not obvious on arrivalThe Las Faroles Royale is a set of 10 villas on an enormous resort complex. When you arrive it seems like a maze of bustle and business and not too inviting if you are not a family looking for the fun and entertainment of a big resort. However once checked in you find that Las Faroles Royale is 2.4 KM from the main area and has a gated set of villas with a beautiful secluded garden with a heated pool all exceptionally kept. The villa was high quality, the beds a little hard but comfortable enough. We had a ground floor with a lovely terrace looking out on the pool area. The only small downside was the size of the kitchen which was tiny, but we managed. If you are not a walker you need a car. However a short walk down the hill to the beach and there is a 6 KM boardwalk along to Mijas Costa and beyond which was lovely once you left the side of the motorway. (you cross either under or over via the bridges). I would heartily recommend this part of the resort for those wanting a sunny relaxed time away.. although its a short walk to bars and restaurants.

Great entertainmentThe two clubs visited were Zacarys and Sunset, and each had great food, reasonably priced drinks, with happy hour, and really good entertainment, on every night in one of the two clubs. Zacarys was an American Baseball themed diner, but with a stage for the entertainers, and Sunset was more of a nightclub with big dance area in front of the stage. The acts were first rate.
