It is like staying with your own familyI spent a week by myself in this lovely familial hotel located in a nice garden close to the beach & restaurants in the town of Lapta full of historic places (churches, mosques etc) where it is worth walking through. In the Lapida Gardens hotel, it felt like I was staying with my own family, the hotel's family eats in the garden with guests & is there to respond to your needs. Fehti the owner took me, another guest & a friend of the family for a nice evening walk in the mountains & even dropped me off at Kyrenia after shopping with his mum & family friend. I even received a lovely gift from them on my departure when they took me to the airport. It is easy to visit places from there by bus such as Kyrenia, Bellapais & Salamis. I had a fantastic stay at Lapida Gardens Hotel

Just perfect! We have just stayed here for 10 nights, our first trip to northern cyprus, we will definitely be returning. The family that run the hotel make you feel very welcome, all staff are friendly and helpful even if there is a slight language barrier. The hotel is very quirky, rooms are clean and comfortable, cleaner came in daily, there is free air con and Wi-Fi, pool is also a lovely area. If you are after a modern hotel with lots going on this is not the place for you, but if you want rest and relaxation we would highly reccomended. The food at the hotel is excellent and plentiful but if you would like to venture out there are lovely restaurants within walking distance, or you can jump on a dolmush. Feti the owner is quite happy to arrange trips for you and gives good advice on places to visit. All in all we have had a perfect holiday.

Why have you not been here yet?We decided to book a late season walking trip in northern cyprus. After long discussion with our T.A. we picked a smallish family hotel close to the town of Lapita. It was a very good choice. The people were friendly and attentive to our needs, the room was comfortable and the food excellent.(Not big portions but plenty of courses!). The owner also ran walking tours. We opted for self guided and the trails were extremely well marked, we were delivered to the start each day and picked up at the end of each walk. His pride for his country and his historical knowledge kept us on the edge of our seats everyday. So, in summary. Good walking, excellent food superb service. Why would you not want to come?

QuirkyStayed for a week over Christmas as part of a walking group. Small privately owned hotel run by Mama and her son Fethi decorated in what one could only call eclectic taste - very much like Marmite - either love it or hate it! Simple but adequate rooms with balcony, air con, kettle and coffee and tea (not replenished daly though) - good bathroom - sheets and towels a little tired. Excellent breakfast and self service home cooked evening meals. Wonderful fruit and flower filled garden with mountain views and large clean swimming pool. All the staff and management super friendly, cheerful and helpful. The place to stay if you are not looking for 5 star luxury but want a simple homely hotel away from the hustle and bustle but still with easy access to everywhere. Would happily return

Lovely family run hotelGreat and very friendly small family run B&B hotel, nice food with accent on local dishes. Hakan and other staff could not be more helpful. Organised car hire for us, gave us useful advice on what to see, do and where to eat , although 4 out of 7 nights stay we had very good and inexpensive evening meals at the hotel, Then evening all gathered round roaring log open fire by the bar. Bedrooms very nice with good en-suite and balcony. Our bedroom had lovely views to the sea and mountains. In terms of UK hotel rating between 3 to 4 star. The hotel being a local hotel of many years has a very slightly old fashioned feel to it which all lends to it's character. Nice swimming pool and gardens. Thoroughly recommend for couples and families. Lovely location. Just to show how helpful the hotel is, on our last day before flying home early, suddenly all restaurants and cafes were closed by the government, as part of the start of their lock down for Coronavirus, so the hotel made lunch for the guests and we sat outside at tables in their garden, enjoying the warm sunshine, food and beers.
