  Great Hotel Good Service

  As a experienced business traveller in China, I only can recommend this hotel. Very clean rooms, modern designed rooms, free wifi in the rooms. So even for the non experienced traveller you don't need to be sad if you can't listen to any English or other language news. Just switch your pad on and voila you are connected. The breakfast is excellent and offer a great choice of Chinese dishes, the buffet dinner as well is a yummy yummy one. Folks you need to love some great Cantonese food and you will enjoy it. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Check in and check out procedure went with out any problem. After dinner or in your spare time I suggest to have a look in the nearby park or go to the people's square. Otherwise Maoming is not a bad place. The people are very friendly.

  No hot water in room

  My family and I stayed here for one night as part of our China travel tour. Coming in for the first time, the lobby was very attractive, formal looking. The two rooms we were assigned were also clean, but showed some signs of wear. Two things about the bathroom - our sink didn't drain well and we did not have hot water coming from the shower. So we both had to use the shower in our teenagers room. We wanted to like the hotel otherwise, but wasn't meant to be.

  Unexpected Luxury in Maoming

  I visited Maoming in November of 2016 and stayed at La Palazzo for one night. The hotel was seemingly the most luxurious in Maoming and located at the axis of two busy avenues. The hotel has a dim sum restaurant on the second floor which has excellent food and ok service. The lobby is very stately and contains two large pools. Guest rooms were large, clean and had wifi/tv and hot water. Upper floors contain nice views of the city - avoid courtyard facing rooms.

  Only 3 Stars rating under International Standard

  Hotel lobby is fine, high ceiling and ceramic products were displayed in front of the lift landing area. Stayed in a Suite and room size is good. Only provided few choices of minibar item. A desktop computer is available for use, but difficult to get access oversea websites and still using XP version. Towel is OK, but cleaning is social. Hair dryer was out of order and took almost 20 minutes to deliver another one. The room attendant demanded to have the out of order one to replace another, this is something made me felt irritating. The most I can give is 3 stars for local standard & 2.5 stars for international standard. But not much choice in these area.

  This hotel was a surprise

  This was my first trip to Maoming and I didn't expect much. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Nice, clean rooms. Good service. But the biggest issue I had was, nobody spoke English. Even the in the reception were unable to communicate. I could not make a phone call.
