  A nice hotel except for the pool.

  I booked one deluxe room in this hotel last month, the room was quite good and spacious, I have all the in-door amenities that I need. The service here is ok though, I love the breakfast buffet and the lunch. However, the think I hate was the pool which was small, smelly and not for free even with the guest. I had the key to the room, when I was about to show that to the security guy, he asked me for the ticket which made me so surprise that,... what? a hotel couldn't offer its guests a pool access? It's not about the price, it's about the inconvenient,.... disappointed...

  Piscina increíble

  Nos alojamos en este hotel cuando visitamos la zona de sapa , la verdad es que no éramos muy conscientes de donde estaba ubicado ya que lo bonito de la zona es mucho más arriba en la zona de sapa pero el hotel era fantástico y nos abrieron la piscina para nosotros solos y resultó una experiencia increíble después del largo día en las montañas. , a pesar de lo bien que está el hotel su situación no es nada buena , solo es buena por el tren.(ah , desayuno horrible)

  Great customer service

  Check in today with double bed room and was upgraded to the Suit room. Housekeeper staff and receptionist are nice and quickly solve the problem in order to maximize customer's sastification . Accommodation need to be upgraded and remodeled. Swimming pool is not clean ...

  Fine if you need to be in also Cai

  Stayed here2 nights having crossed border from China. Hotel location fine, rooms comfortable and well appointed, buffet breakfast acceptable. However hotel a bit soulless so if you have the option of staying at Sa Pa that would be preferable as town not really geared for tourism and restaurant choices etc very limited.

  "An unpleasant place, a never come back hotel"

  I was on a private tour with my extended family traveling from Ha Noi to Sapa. On our return trip to Hanoi, we stayed 1 night at Lao Cai Star, a 3 star hotel. The room though generously large but was so disgusting, so stinky, full of cigarette smoke odor. The furniture and the floor were spotted with cigarette burn. There was dust on the coffee table. Breakfast was included in the package but there were not that many selections to ingest in the early morning. The staff was very well-mannered. The hotel location is about 10-15 minutes driving to the border of Viet Nam and China. Since it was only a 1 night layover in Lao Cai, we did not complain about the hygiene and the overall cleanliness condition to the management but we were very displeased and mentioned it to our tour guide. He told us that there are not many decent hotels in Lao Cai. I would rate it 1 star instead of 3 stars as claimed and never come back again.
