  2nd stay...

  Stayed for 10 days in a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor. This place was clean, spacious and quiet. Was a lovely stay and the location had easy access to the buses which was a few minutes walk outside the complex. Also walking distance to a lovely beach

  Great accommodations

  We visited the locations during Cropover 2018 and would highly recommend this location. We stayed here for a week. The grounds and common areas were well maintained. One must have a code to enter grounds and a code to enter each building. Units are individually owned. The accommodations were excellent even though two of the units we rented did not have AC in the common area. (Rented three units) We spent very little time indoors as we were touring the island or walking to the beach or John Moore's Rum Shop. Both are a short 5-10 minute walk from the property, be mindful of traffic. We are planning to stay here for our next trip.

  Great Stay Overall

  We stayed at Number 19 which was a two bedroomed - two bathroomed apartment on the first floor. This apartment had all the newly fitted mod cons, facilities and comfort that was required. One of the bathrooms was a tad old but still functional. There were also beach umbrellas, mats, mallet etc provided to take to the beach which was a short 5 min bus ride away (Heron's Bay) or a 10min walk to Gibbes beach. It was hard to walk into the sea to swim at Gibbes beach as there were too many rocks, which was a shame as it was a beautiful beach and fairly quiet/unspoilt. There were lots of beaches within a 20min walk, so you were really spoilt for choice. We spent many evenings at Zacchios in Holetown (5min bus ride away) for food and sundowners. They had live music a couple of nights per week which was really good. The food less so. I stayed in Holetown at a villa for the first week which meant you could walk everywhere which was good and that's where you could find plenty of banks/supermarkets/restaurants/pubs/clubs. Back to the apartment - the manager was there to greet us and gave us a quick tour and left his number in case we needed it. There was lots of info in the apartment for local venues/attractions etc which was useful. The pool was lovely here with never many people around it even though it was peak Feb half term. I mentioned the bus earlier, the stops in both directions were directly outside the apartment block. The downside of this was that the apartment block was on a busy road and bad corner and all the buses buzz their horns which wasn't just one sound, it was an almighty racket of several sounds and they started at 5am and ended at 12midnight. This apartment is not set back from the road, so if peace and quiet is your thing, I do not recommend it. In fact, you couldn't really sit outside and enjoy the huge balcony, replete with sunloungers, table/6 chairs, as it was so noisy and actually, it felt like you were picniking on the M25! Shame really as everything else was fab.

  Clean, great concierge manager, intrusive board members ...

  13 of us booked 3 apartments in Lantana Resort for 14 days. The apartments and kitchen were clean and well equipped. Dishwashers were available but not washing machines. The location doesn't not have many local shops so be prepared to either hire a car or make regular bus journeys. Our concierge was Shamone who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. The master bedroom is spacious and has an en-suite bathroom and toilet. The second bedroom is cramped. This setup is suitable for a couple with two young children, but not two pairs of adults IMO. The patio area has rattan table and chairs to seat everyone. The interior dining area only has two dining chairs. In one apartment the safe was not fixed and could be lifted! Two apartments had milk go off and I realised the fridge temperature dials and been turned down. Our visit was tarnished on my wife's birthday, we were around the pool and at 7.45PM the guard asked the children to be quieter. A Lantana board member was staying there and was unhappy with noise. If the complaint was around 9pm I think that would be a reasonable criticism. The next day soon after sunset (7PM) I saw one of our party again talking with the security guard. His children were in the pool and the guard had said he could not switch on the pool lighting until he spoke to the board member! The guard did eventually switch on the lights but it left a bitter taste.

  Pandemic Retreat

  With flights grounded and no travel plans this staycation to the other side of the island was perfect i went twice in a month. The rooms are beautiful, fully equipped, pool is great. I booked with Fatema, she was great.
