  Simply the best...

  I spent a week in the Tango, from the 4th January and I can't praise the Hotel and its staff highly enough. The rooms were beautifully designed and the most luxurious I have stayed in on a ski trip. The food was absolutely sensational and highlight of the evening's activity. This was improved by a level of service and commitment, by both the staff and management, that was a pleasure to both witness and be a recipient of. The atmosphere in the hotel bar was fantastic and the seating comfy enough to enjoy a wind down with a beer after a day on the slopes. I'd seen previous comments about the size of the boot room, and it was a little snug, but not to a prohibitive size. Skis and boots were stored easily, even when the racks were full. It is pretty much ski in and out, with only a short, sixty second walk to clip on in the morning and a short thirty second walk at the end of the day. Both me and my friends all agreed that we would definitely look to return to this as our accomodation in the future. A big thanks to Frederick and his team, from the North of England. You all did a brilliant job.

  New Year's Eve Trip

  We were greeted by Daniel and Emma who were both lovely. Emma advised us of the spa treatments in the basement. Daniel to have a look at our heating which he resolved. We don't normally like to book half board in hotels but this would be the hotel that we would recommend and gladly would in the future. We loved their Swedish /French take. We are not keen on big breakfast first thing in the morning so the fact that they had fresh continental breakfast everyday was perfect for us. We paid for our evening meals approx 40 euros each for a 3 course dinner from the a la carte or set menu. New Year day was our lazy day skiing in the bar in from of the open fire as we were hanging from the night before thanks to Pontus and team for making it a memorable night considering that Pontus materialised a table out of thin air as we didn't book a late sitting early enough. He served us our gala meal himself which was delightful. He set our table in the bar area right in the window in full view waiting for the fireworks to go whilst we were having our desserts. Pontus, bar men and waiting staff were all rushed off their feet and served one and all with a smile at all times. The bar does get busy during après ski, great pizza on hand to wash down with drinks for approx 15 euros and happy hour between 20.00 and 22.00 everyday. Puzzles and games by the telly for fun to be had by all. Would definitely be back if we knew that the same staff would be there as they all went the extra mile.

  Great place to stay. Nearly perfect

  There are a few things that could be improved but they are minor. We paid for half board and the food is 10/10. Staff are really nice and its pretty good value. Rooms are nice enough. And the location is great. Only criticisms are the sheets are a bit sweaty even when its not hot or the heating is off. And the bathroom smells a bit but these are not major things as youre skiing most of the day anyway. If they could be fixed it would be 5 stars

  Ski holiday

  My wife and I have just returned from a 7 night half board stay at the Hotel Tango at Val Thoren. I have to say that for a 3 star hotel we were very impressed, the rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful but the thing that impressed us the most was the food, the quality, taste and presentation of the evening meal can only be described as excellent. As for skiers the hotel is truly ski in ski out with a ski storage room with heated drying racks for boots. We recommend this hotel and would definitely book again if returning to Val Thoren.

  Amazing bar in Val Thorens with great service!

  I really enjoyed my time at the bar of this hotel. The atmosphere was very cozy, there was a fireplace, nice music and great vibe - lots of people after skiing I guess go there for a drink. Furnished in a very stylish way, which fits the experience for being in the mountain. We had tea, which was good! Very, very friendly staff and great service! Highly recommend it!
