Very goodFirst time here and would consider going back. Staff were excellent and always helped with any questions. The hotel is ideally situated and about a 2-3 minute walk to the nearest chair lift. Lots of good runs for all abilities. Bit pricy in the restaurants though. Rooms were very clean with lots of storage space and the shower was good as well. Rooms were cleaned every day, however the maid decided to take all our bottles of water one day-no idea why! This is a no smoking hotel, including on the balconies (great views), however the people in the next room continually smoked which came into our room (we had a 2 year old with us) so we mentioned it to the lady on the desk who immediately dealt with it and the smoking stopped from then on - thank you! (An expensive cigarette- 150 fine!). The lounge/bar is nice, lots of comfy chairs. Drinks are expensive.6 for a beer, 11 for a wine, however make sure you ask for the house wine which is only 5. The barman wont tell you this which is a bit naughty. Child care with Crystal was very good. They were very attentive with our toddler and made sure he was happy and had a nap when he needed one. They took the kids out into the snow at least once a day and always replied to our texts very quickly. Breakfasts for me were a let down, the only hot items are beans, boiled and scrambled eggs with either bacon or sausages on alternative days. The evening meals were mostly good, with beef fillet, duck and lamb shank being the best. Well presented meals rather than large portions. Could do with more on the plate and a salad bar after a hard days skiing. The hotel provide babysitting for older children and this was taken up by some of the Scandinavian parents. However there was one young chap looking after about 8 tearaways, which caused chaos in the dining room even though the parents were sitting in the same dining room!! The kids were jumping and running around and we complained to the staff, however after dinner the kids were running all over the place, they smashed a lamp, threw pop corn all over and were running up and down the corridors and in and out the boot room. The babysitter clearly couldnt control them and the parents did nothing to stop the carnage. This would be the one thing that would make me reconsider going back to this hotel. Other than this I would recommend staying here.

Family holidayWe stayed at the hotel as a family with young children. Good hotel overall however we did have a few issues with our room which we raised on arrival but unfortunately were not fixed during our stay. Dinner is a set 3 course menu with just the one option of each starter, main & dessert which was quite disappointing! Children menu also one option each. If you have a fussy child like we do, you end up eating out most evenings as we did. Good selection of restaurants & pizzerias within walking distance. Staff were friendly and the manager did listen to our grumbles but its up to Langley to make some changes. More food options please! Ski & Boot hire very efficient and cheap! Free Shuttle bus stops just across the road and it is every hour takes you around the resort. Alpe DHuez is a great resort! Would definitely go back!

Good hotel, but could so easily be great! We were impressed with the well thought out rooms, super comfy beds, amazing views from the balcony, and lovely lounge/bar area. However with just a little more effort and planning, this hotel could be superb. There is only one option at dinner. So if you don't like it, you're screwed. We had 2 vegetarians in our party which we had informed the hotel about prior to our arrival. Despite this, they had no idea when we arrived and had to concoct something for them for dinner; namely chick peas to replace the lamb that the non-vegetarians were having! These poor substitutions continued throughout the week. The staff are all very friendly and polite although dinner service is very slow. The boot room and ski room are also very small, so get very congested at peak times. There is a bus stop just across the road, from which you can get the free bus (Route B) directly to the ski schools and DMC lifts.

Good hotel for family ski holidaysLe Petit Prince is a typical ski resort hotel. We stayed in a good size family room (1 double bed and bunk beds) with a bathroom and a balcony with a great mountain view. The room was clean and equipped with all the necessities - towels, hair dryer and toiletries. The room had flat screen TV and reasonable Wi-Fi signal but it was temperamental with devices connecting and disconnecting at times. The breakfast was a typical buffet with some selection of hot and cold dishes, as well as fresh pastry. The evening meals were served from a predefined set evening menu - NO SELECTION though, however, they tried to accommodate some special requests. There was separate option of menu for children. The hotel offers kids club with movie evenings every night so you can drop the kids and enjoy a drink in a bar. The hotel is located next to a blue ski run so you can virtually ski down to a car park near the hotel. Beneath the hotel there is a ski lift that operates from 8.45. If you don't want to take the ski lift, 50m outside of the hotel is a ski bus stop taking you to the bottom of the slopes and Alpe d'Huez centre. Within 5-10min walking distance, there is a supermarket, ESF and tourist office. Overall,

Family ski tripJust home from a wonderful weeks stay at petit prince. Our first ski trip with the children chosen due to the facilities & crystal childcare option. It did not disappoint! As a fussy ex travel agent I am overly picky & being married to an operations director of a large restaurant chain we are Hard to please! However, we had a lovely week with some beautiful evening meals , which were able to be swapped/mixed up a little if so required. My son has food sensory issues and they catered for him every single night! We didnt have a bad dinner our whole stay. The staff are all Swedish, speak perfect English & are very friendly ! Service was always spot on. From reception to the bar man & our waitress/waiter in the dining hall we received excellent attention to detail from all. The crystal childcare girls are amazing and worth their weight in gold. The kids were looked after so well and enjoyed their time in kids club so much some days we couldnt get them to come out!!! They had their work cut out dressing and getting kids to ski school on time and with all their belongings but always did it with a smile and were so helpful with other things like bus routes and timetables etc too. Special mention to jenni & Chloe who also got my son eating different foods at lunchtime too. This is a big deal to him and us ! Thank you so much! The Langley kids staff were also brilliant at evening movie and disco nights. My kids loved hanging out with you and its a great idea for winding down before bed! If I had to be picky Id say the only improvement to be made is in the room. Our room was cleaned regularly but my kids bedding wasnt changed all week on their bunks and the bedside tables were quite dusty even after theyd been done. The patio door didnt close shut properly either but didnt really bother us as high up and nobody couldve got in. They are however a brilliant size and quite modern as ski hotels go! Overall we had a great stay! The slopes are easily accessible and the hotel offers everything you might need from equipment to meals, bar, entertainment and childcare for the kids. Would I recommend 100% would I return ? Most definitely!
