  Absolutely lovely B & B, with equally lovely hosts - Susie & David

  Situated between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe, this little gem oozes with character and comfort. Within the first 5 minutes I felt at home with the property and surroundings. Susie and Dave couldn't be more welcoming and hospitable - full of knowledge on the local area. The rooms are cozy and decorated to a high standard. You'd be just as comfortable in the winters months. The breakfast was fantastic and full of local produce (big plus for me) - all cooked by Dave (years of experience as chef). Great place, great couple, can't wait for my next visit in October. Note; make sure you go for a morning swim in the sea (especially after a few the night before!) Luke & Isaac

  Another very comfortable stay in a lovely b&b

  This B & B is a particularly comfortable establishment from the moment you arrive. Susie & David take care of you from beginning to end, with as much information about the locality that you could possibly need, rooms that you will be as comfortable in as your own, service and quality food that is probably unbeatable in North Devon. You can enjoy a glass of wine on the sun terrace and explore the gardens in a lovely valley. This was our second visit and even with covid19 to deal with, it is an excellent place to stay.   I would give this 6 stars if we could! Outstanding.

  I am not surprised by the previous faultless reviews, and not being the most eloquent of writers i almost copied and pasted from others, but that wouldn't be fair as Susie and David deserve the time to briefly share our experience. My Brothers wedding was on Friday 23rd and we had booked in for 2 nights (Thursday and Friday). ~The wedding was at Sandy Cove and The LGH is perfectly placed, nestled in a beautiful setting (close to a beautiful friendly Pub). Susie's communication was superb and had e-mailed me to say they had had a cancellation and if we were happy they'd move us into a more suitable room which was at a lower price. (I had already though the original rate was excellent value for money considering bfast was included but this was a welcome surprise) When we arrived the greeting was perfect and we were shown to our rooms, clean, beautifully decorated and the bed outrageously comfy. The brekfast was outstanding, and the menu full of local produce, be sure to check the photos downstairs to see a fresh faced David in his happy place, i wil explain why the breakfast was so good. Susie is well travelled and makes you feel completely at home in their home. Nothing was too much trouble and we are already looking at rebooking again soon. So much more I could write, just find out for yourselves. Great Craic!!! Dan & Amy x

  Mini break

  We stayed 3 nights and we loved every minute. The breakfast is amazing , the accommodation is lovely and the owners are very friendly. We have been to north Devon many times but never to berrynarbor. It's very quaint as is combe Martin which is near by. We would stay again.

  Excellent

  David and Susie are the very best hosts. It was a home from home but with far better cooking They have so many stories to tell and shared their experience and culinary prowess with our children. An experience we will never forget.
