  The perfect stay and extra special dinner near Munich Airport

  Landgasthof Schweiger was recommended to us by friends who have stayed here before, and their recommendation was spot on. We were greeted upon our arrival by the friendly receptionist who gave us a nice double ground floor room. This room is very comfortable and spacious with soft double bed and fluffy feather comforters, spotless bathroom, wooden cabinets and even a small refrigerator. The restaurant is cozy and typically German, the menu is varied and reasonably priced, and the food is extremely good. The head waiter was very attentive to our every need, and allowed us much time to enjoy our drinks before dinner. We started with leberspaetzle soup made with very light airy spaetzle floating in clear beef broth, followed by a mixed salad with excellent vinaigrette. My husband then had Ossobucco, which was perfectly stewed in a rich gravy served with canneloni filled with spinach and ricotta. I had the weiner schnitzel from pork that was pounded so thinly and fried in a breadcrumb crust that was tender enough to cut with a fork. The chef really knows how to make a great schnitzel. After dinner the chef even came out and talked with us for a while about his former career cooking in US Army mess halls and his trips to America. We enjoyed our conversation with him, and certainly enjoyed his food! After a restful night's sleep followed by breakfast buffet, we were on our way to our flight home from a long vacation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone near Munich for a night or many nights.

  Great welcome

  Stayed here on our cycle trip from Munich to Budapest 10 miles from Munich airport . Lovely welcome, lovely room and great restaurant in the garden Found somewhere to store our bikes. Incredible also to see the numbers of airlines on their final approach to Munich Airport This didn't cause any problems with noise however .

  Good stopover near Munich airport.

  This is a three star hotel in a 15 minute drive from the airport. The hotel is in a quiet area. The room was spotless however the mattress was not very comfortable and too soft. The breakfast was very good with an excellent choice.

  Excellent hotel in rural area near airport

  I had a fantastic stay at this hotel with my family! Great location if you like being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If youre trying to see the area (Munich, surrounding sights) a car is definitely necessary. They have free parking, so thats not a problem. Breakfast is great - fresh brötchen every morning, meat and cheese, pretzels, fruit, and fresh juice. They even made us breakfast doggy bags when we had an early flight to the airport! Service is fantastic - when they were having a party at the restaurant, they let us bring our meal into the hotel. Minor complaint - wish they had an area for our family (6 people) to hang out together both inside the hotel and outside (the only outside area to hang out was at the restaurant tables, and we felt bad sitting there without ordering anything).

  Punctually as in the drug store

  You can rely on this house. Everything is clean, understandable, exact. The food quality was above expectations. The reason for my not so positive assesment is: one minute after the "official kitchen closing" we were rejected and could not get anything. This was really weird. There is nothing around this hotel (shop, restaurant, fuel station).
