  Excellent hotel for staying with friends during bicycle holidays

  This hotel is located in a rural area in the nice countryside of Munsterland en very suitable for staying for cycling in this area and visit the historical city of Munster. The hotel has a very good price/quality ratio.

  A great find in Münsterland

  Liked · Nice location, great spa area with saunas and pool. Friendly staff. Good bars and restaurant area. Simple room but somehow modern and comfy bed. Disliked · No fridge in the room. No complimentary water. Breakfast could be better.

  Great stopover at the Landhotel Hermannshoehe

  We stayed one night at the Landhotel Hermannshoehe while on a road trip through northern Germany. The check-in was quick and simple, despite the hotel being very busy and active on a Friday evening. Our room was very large and had a small patio area. The bathroom was very large - I think it was the disabled room. Everything was very clean and tidy and it made for a very comfortable stay. We had booked halbpension with our reservation. What we didn't realize is that the hotel automatically reserves you a table in the restaurant if you have halbpension. We made the mistake of going to the very busy restaurant and being told it was full - we neglected to say we had halbpension. So - we went to the bar and looked at the menus, but then the bartender, who was very nice, told us we need to get the halbpension from the restaurant. So... we went back and told them we had halbpension and were quickly shown to our cozy reserved table! Lesson learned for us! The restaurant was packed, but the server was prompt and gave us the options for the halbpension dinner. We both had a broth based soup as the starter, and the bacon-wrapped pork loin medallions with rosti for the entree. Everything was very delicious. We were very tired from driving and arriving later in the evening (and had to get up early the next morning) so didn't partake in the spa, pool, kegelbahn, or biking on the lovely paved path next to the hotel. It was nice to see so many amenities but a shame we didn't have time to enjoy them. The breakfast was included and was a nice spread with tables laid out with very pretty dishware. It was bustling with many guests, but we had gotten there early so were glad to miss the line! The breakfast was very tasty. The hotel also provided us with a free bottle of local sparkling water for making our reservation online, so that was a nice treat. Overall, a very enjoyable and comfortable stopover on our travels.
