  Super!

  A great hotel in a small village. Be sure to try one of the great duck dishes on the menu. And the Hirschberger dragonsblood! The rooms are comfy, airy and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpfull.

  Clean and comfortable hotel

  Despite advertising itself as a 'Welcome' hotel, the receptionist clearly had other ideas. On checking in, she was extremely efficient; rattling off rules and regulations at break-neck speed in German, complete with a frown. We understood just some of what she said and guessed the rest. Not a very positive introduction, but the building itself more than compensated. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with plenty of space for belongings. WiFi worked fine, as did the heating. The shower had instant hot water. Breakfast was ample and fresh, although the receptionist doubled as a waitress and our every move was watched extremely carefully, which was somewhat disconcerting. She had already wagged a pointed finger and scowled at us for trying to enter the breakfast room through the wrong door. Presumably that was one of the rules we couldn't catch on arrival. We were with our well-behaved dog and were therefore allocated our own breakfast area - in the bar. We had no complaints at all about this, as we dined alone, admiring the original features of this property. We ate in the restaurant and were impressed by both the food and the staff (not the terrain of the receptionist, thankfully). Portion size was good, the food was fresh and the bill very reasonable (just less than 50 in total for two main courses, desserts, large wines and coffees). Thoroughly recommended. We would gladly stay here again to enjoy the numerous walking paths that Sauerland has to offer. Next time we would be braced for the unwelcoming receptionist in this charming Welcome hotel.

  Very tranquil, good food, amazing environnement

  We stayed at the Welcome Landhotel Cramer for five days in august 2015. As we arrived on foot, we first had to climb all the way to the hotel, which is situated on top of a hill. The name of the village 'Hirschberg' already explains it (= Deer mountain). The exterior of the hotel is very typical German, but we loved it. The room was large enough with a desk, a large bed and a large bathroom with a good shower. We also had free acces to WiFi, which is also handy. But it was the food that surprised us the most. We could choose between three main dishes and they were always excellent. You could choose between a typical German dish and some foreign dishes. The wine was good and not too expensive. The breakfast buffet was also a positive experience. A lot of choice: different types of bread, muesli, cheese, meat, eggs, jam, honey etc. Overall: if you're looking for a quiet, but pleasing hotel, you have to come here. Warstein, Arnsberg and Sundern are in the neighbourhoud and are worth a visit.

  Excellent hotel in Warstein

  We stayed here for several nights and it was a nice place to stay. Typical European hotel - not elegant, but not basic. The rooms were nice and were very clean. It is a good choice of hotels, especially if you are doing something at the Warstein Brewery.

  Hunters' place - plenty of dead animals as decoration

  The Hotel belongs to the brewery Warsteiner I was told. Unfortunately they seem to have pleasure in decorating it in hunter stuff with fur, Horns, etc. The rooms are ok and clean but I just don't feel right in this place.
