  Harz Mountains Find!

  Landhaus Schultz is a delightful, fourth-generation family operated country inn with a restaurant that provides locally sourced, beautifully cooked food. We had a spacious, comfortable, well appointed, and quiet room on the ground floor of this traditionally decorated inn, which is conveniently located by one of the main roads into the Harz Mountains National Park. Visiting during the Christmas season, we were impressed by the army of nutcraker soldiers and other Christmas decorations found throughout this lovingly decorated hotel. Room and failities were immaculate. Plenty of guest information provided.. Parking is free, and auto travel ammenities (gas supermarket) at the doorstep. Welcoming staff. The fair price included breakfast in the excellent restaurant, which included a variety of meats, fish, breads, and fruit, and featured an exceptional selection of local cheeses. Restaurant (dinner service) reviewed by us separately. Definitely worth using as your base in the Harz Mountains. We are already looking forward to our next visit. This is a dog friendly hotel.

  Great hotel in a beautiful area - A good argument for seeking out such places

  I stayed one night in the hotel whilst on business. Its a small hotel located in Herzberg am Hertz, a small former "frontier" town (was close to border with former GDR) it situated in the beautiful Hartz Region, kind of hilly with bags of charm. The hotel respects the regional culture and a great bonus is that it nestled just below the amazing Schloss on the hill towering above it. I ate 3 meals here and each was fantastic, again, they prode themselves on using local produce. The room was very clean and the furniture was all quaint handpainted, straight out of a fairytale!. The bed has to be one of the most comfortable ever. The bathroom had liquid soaps by the sink and in the shower. I highly recommend the area and definately this hotel, they are really great!. If you travel by train, they have the local rail syatem and the station is just around the corner from the hotel, literally 5 mins walk at a medium pace.

  "A Warm Harz Welcome!"

  My Wife and I completed a days touring of the Harz Mountains in her home state Lower Saxony with a stay at the Landhaus Schulze. Friendly service from all those staff we encountered. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. What caught my eye the most was the wooden bedroom furniture, wonderfully hand decorated in what my Wife explained was traditional Harz-style. The hotel location is great if you are looking for a good base to explore the area, and believe me there are lots of things to see in this region. There are plenty of shops in the immediate area and local transport too. If you're driving parking is free. What I liked best was the little courtyard and the food, but I save that for a separate review.

  Great staying overnight with best pric-deal

  Very friendly staff and nice rooms. Fruits and water for welcome, and very good restaurant as well. All rooms with bathroom and a quiet relaxing atmosphere. Train station 5 min by walk as well as supermarket and bus station. Very best location for relaxing few days.
