Hospitality and top-class foodWe spend here a week and we were more than happy. Elisabeth (who is the owner) is very helpful and cares about small details which makes your stay memorable. She speaks very good english. Clean rooms with balcony with nice view, towels, free soft drinks during the day, optional lunch packages, free wifi, book collection (in english and german) for fervent readers, table tennis, kids room, quiet neighbourhood. But above of all top-class food. First time on my life I've enjoy everything (literally: everything) what was served for dinner. Highly recommended for family stay.

OkThe good thing was that the food was to a good quality but, it was mostly pork every. We stayed in room 23 which was tiny not meant for two people. Also we don't expect the toilet seat to snap straight in two. When we told the staff they just put the new toilet seat on the the floor expecting us to fit it are selfs. There wasn't a bin in are room so we decide to see if the staff would take are rubbish they did but they charged us.

perfect, amazing and couldnt be betterBack for a thrid time now and elizabeth is so kind she always gives us room 14 (are fav) big bathroom clean towels everyday as well. Now the breakfast is amazing the rolls they serve need to be in england and the dinners are even better my fav was the foundue with unlimited chips. the salad buffet is also fab. Only thing if you are english bring tea bags as all austrian tea is not nice not the hotels fault, anyway elizabeth will bring you hot water for it. Back to skiing the heated book rack, yessss and the place for skis and poles for saftey (down the stairs) the supermarket it 5 mins away to buy soap and what not. The house cat (Rico who does not go in any rooms or the kitchen just the lounge so if you have allergies its fine) is very cute and does not bite (kids) you can watch the ski show from the balcony and the bus is just over the road. After a days skiing you dont want to walk forever so its perfect and you cant hear the peace or snow bashers ,

Very nice hotel for a ski tripCame here for a ski trip which was great for after a long day speeding down the slopes. Every day I came back to put some dry clothes on and sit next to the toasty fire or go to the sauna. The rooms were very spacious and got cleaned every day. Every morning there would be a choice at the breakfast buffet selection and in the evening a full course meal.

Sympathetic pension! This is a traditional Austrian pension - we like that - quietly situated at the periphery of Filzmoos. In front of the hotel is the road linking Eben im Pongau to Ramsau am Dachstein; Filzmoos is about half way. Occasionally we heard traffic noise in our room at the back side. Obviously, the speed of cars on this road was frequently much too high. It is about a 8-10 minutes walk to the centre of Filzmoos. The village, however, is small and ''centre'' is a big word for the Dorfplatz where activities such as the pleasant weekly performance on Friday of the local village band take place from spring till first snowfall. Filzmoos is beautifully located amidst green hills and alms, the impressive Dachstein massive providing a beautiful backdrop. It has only modest skiing facilities and fortunately has retained much of the charm of a small Austrian village. Having said that, there are more than enough hotels, pensions, restaurants and shops including a large supermarket and a petrol station. Elisabeth Wieser and the small staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Our no-nonsense room on the first floor was spacious and had a pleasant balcony on two sides. The bathroom was ok. The bed was comfortable. WIFI worked well; the tv-set was particularly small. Last but not least, the room was meticulously clean. We greatly enjoyed our stay in this sympathetic pension.
