  Beautiful location!

  We found this on the internet, and were not disappointed when we arrived. It is about 8-10 miles from Worms train station, and a 30 euro taxi ride; it is possible to take a local train directly to Osthofen, but we didn't know that at the time. Nevertheless, it was a charming spot. Our room had a balcony overlooking gorgeous vineyards. The wine of the house (their wine) is wonderful and a bottle was included with the room. We had to take a taxi to the small village for dinner, but had a wonderful time exploring this beautiful spot. The locals are friendly and the stay was a highlight of our trip. I recommend it.

  Romantic and relaxing location in the middle of the vineyards of Osthofen

  The cute and romantic hotel is located ih the middle of the vineyards of the famous of its white wines German province Rhineland-Palatinate in the small town of Osthofen. We spent wonderful 4 days there and visited Worms and Ladenburg - famous cities not far from Osthofen. We had a comfortable room for the three of us - my husband, my son and me. The delicious breakfast gave us a good restart every morning and the evenings we spent on the big veranda of the restaurant watching the sunset over the vineyards with a glass of aromatic wine.

  A great find, especially if you're tired of standard hotel chains

  This hotel is very deceiving. Upon arrival, the office was closed, but our names were listed on a sheet of paper attached to the door, showing our room numbers and stating that the key was in the door. The rooms were fairly spartan, but they were very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the views from the balcony of the room were amazing (assuming you like vineyards). We ate dinner at the restaurant below the hotel rooms, and the food was amazing! The server did a great job tending to everyone in the restaurant. We all had the special of the evening, roast duck. It was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed a few bottles of the local vineyard's Spatburgunder (a medium bodied red, similar to a Pinot Noir) and really enjoyed it. The next morning, we all met in the hotel's breakfast room for a typical German breakfast. Everything was very fresh, the service was great, and the coffee was brewed to order. Overall, a great find after spending nearly 3 weeks traveling in Asia and Europe!

  Christmas lunch

  We visited for Christmas lunch and given the occassion were prepared for an extended wait time. Menu was very limited and very rich in the selection of meals. The chef was apparently struggling asking for vegetarian options as well as something plain and healthy for a child. Accordingly this seemed as a lack of preparedness and affects the quality of service. Given the lack of choices, seemed slso overpriced.

  Peaceful rural location.

  A nice collection of apartments, and rooms not far from Worms surrounded by vineyards. It was popular with weekending families as there are large safe play ares outside as well as tables and seating. The restaurant next door is smart with a large outside terrace and the menu looked excellent. We did not try it as we had already eaten. The breakfast is served in another, smaller restaurant where the food was good and plentiful and the staff were eager to please. There is also a shop selling the local wine and there are sample bottles in the bedroom. An inexpensive pleasant stopover.
