  Estupendo lugar, apartado de la ciudad con preciosas zonas verdes cerca donde pasear. Estuvimos un fin de semana y volveremos este año. Buen desayuno. Admiten mascotas. Personal amable. Habitación suficiente, bien de temperatura pues fuera hacia mucho frío. Cama cómoda, sólo que no era doble y estaban dos camas juntas

  Wedding at Overste Hof review:

  Wedding at Overste Hof review: Remark before going to the details, I had 5 star day, however the venues is barely 3. Heres why: 2 nights before the event fire alarm system got triggered at 4 am in the morning, as couple of guests were already at the venue, they had to wait outside for fire brigade. (turned out of course that there was no fire and something was wrong with the alarm system) No apology or discount was offered to the guests. As well as one of the double rooms was pushed as twin and the venue was not able to fix it. Another room problem, toilet was not cleaned properly. The communication between Staff and Manager went poorly as the canapés were brought to the wrong location. Therefore, I presume that there was no meeting in the morning with the staff to properly go through the event. Senior Waiter was VERY RUDE to my ceremony master during the dinner as she was trying to organise the toasts. I found out later about the situation and this is UNFORGIVABLE. And will make sure this will be brought to the management of the place. Food. Stakes were nowhere near tender enough and stake knifes werent served with it (why not order fillet stakes or give the people the opportunity to choose what steak they want???). Invoice. Final invoice sent incorrect, the amount already paid partially was not excluded, pricing for Prosecco ridiculous as we didnt drink all that was in the package and the possibility to take the bottles home was not offered. Trying to scam? Taking about what was good: Bridal suit was lovely, good size, beautiful on pictures and very nice privet garden and jacuzzi. Nature around the venue is beautiful, flowers, lakes, trees. Ceremony location is perfect for hot summer days, in a little bit of shade and in a quiet place. Out of nowhere the venue found beautiful white stand for the ceremony speaker, very much appreciated. Apart from the steaks, the food was good. Canapés served nicely on the table however, I would expect people to walk around with the trays. Overall, I was very happy on my day, however the staff of Overste Hof have a long long way ahead and a lot of work to be a proper wedding venue.

  Rubbish

  Rooms not as advertised; widely different to what you see online. Staff ambivalent. No check in available. Rooms tired, unclean and colonies of rats in the vicinity. Breakfast not available at 8am?! Bizarre.

  Stay away from here

  You don't get what is advertised, pictures of beautiful rooms are shown on Groupon but when you check in you get a horrible room somewhere in the back which is the opposite of the rooms pictured. When this was addressed by us we could upgrade to the room in the pictures (apparently those are 'suites' even though nothing about this is mentioned in the advertisement) but only if we pay 30 euro extra. Furthermore: - overall state of the property is poor - the 'standard' rooms are run down - personnel could take a course in how to communicate (apparently we are crazy to expect something acceptable for 'only' 50 euro)

  Very comfortable and friendly hotel on a beautifull spot.

  The check-in is the first contact with the hotel: very friendly and helpfull. The room is not big but very comfortable with a fridge, tea, coffee and an excellent bed. The bathroom is very nice, modern and clean.A good place to stay for a longer time as we did. The three course surprise dinner was more than good. Gluten free? No problem! And the view is on a large garden with ponds. Next morning breakfast was served in a Corona-setting, so no buffet but a complete breakfast for each guest. This was very good, enough and a variety of bread, eggs, sweets, fruit, everything tasty and fresh. Also here, very friendly staff. Compliments. Being in this hotel for three days was a very pleasant short holiday with many reasons to come back.
