  Great break!

  We made a stop on the road of the Romantic Street here. Good location near to the Harburg castle, Nördlingen, etc. It's a perfect place for relaxing, quaint and quiet village. The hosts are very friendly and kindly, the rooms are new and clean.

  Perfect place

  Amazingly perfect place. Quiet and calm surrounding. Perfect to stay and rest on route to Munich, Augsburg etc. Good location, comfortable bed, cosy rooms, everything clean and tidy (room service done every day), useful kitchen annex on the corridor, breakfast standard of a 3-star hotel, good restaurant, very nice and helpful owner.

  A great hotel in a small place

  We stayed at the Gasthof Weberhans for a few days while exploring the Ries Crater and the Altmuehtal and thoroughly enjoyed it. The bedrooms were great, beautifully clean, and there was the bonus of a kitchen for guests to prepare their own food on the second floor next to the roof terrace where you could have a drink or sit and eat in the evening if you did not want to go to the restaurant downstairs, which provided wonderful local specialities. The sunsets were stunning with swallows swooping around. For some the chiming of the church clock on the quarter hours might be a bit intrusive but I found it a nice sound. The biergarten at the back had rustic tables and a trampoline. Try to make time to seek out the Lourdes grotto just out of the village. Muendling is a quiet, small village, slightly off the Romantische Strasse but very convenient for visiting Harburg, Noerdlingen and the Altmuehltal. We were made very welcome and I would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay or to eat.

  Friendly Host and Quiet Location

  Our host was always friendly and helpful, more so than any other place we stayed at in Germany. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was very good with a reasonable number of choices. We ate dinner there twice. The salads were better than most of the salads we had been getting in Germany (though still a little bit too much vinegar for me). The stew I had the first night was okay only, but the steak the second night was cooked to perfection! My husband and daughter loved everything they ordered. The homemade plum-rhubarb ice cream was so good I had it for dessert both times. Though the guesthouse may technically be in Harburg, it is actually located in the farm village of Mundling outside of Harburg. We liked the peace and quiet there after spending our days in the more touristy places. Being in the farm village means one is close to barns and on a hot day it smells like it (cow manure). For that reason, we did not sit outside to have a drink or eat, though we did enjoy the roof deck just to sit out for awhile. This is a place that is dog-friendly, as we saw one guest with her small dog.

  Restful and quiet

  This is a beautiflly remodeled hotel in a quiet farming village. It has all the modern amenities and the owners are very accommodating and friendly. There is a community kitchen and an honor system beer cooler. The restaurant is closed on Wed & Thur so plan accordingl. I definitely recommend this place.
