  Comfortable hotel not far from major cross country route

  We stayed here almost by accident, we were travelling from Krakow to Centre Parks Eifel and just looked for a hotel of reasonable standard not far from the motorway. This place was a delight to find with large spacious rooms, good included wifi and a very nice restaurant serving local specialities. It was almost disappointing that we were only here in transit, we would happily have stayed longer. The fridge in our room was locked, but the receptionist was very helpful and put our perishables in the main fridge. The breakfast was a fairly good range of the usual continental fayre. The autobahn was about 10 mins drive (not measure exactly, but it certainly wasn't far, but doesn't affect the hotel any way).

  Average ...

  I got single room but with the biggest bathroom I've seen ever. That's all. When I arrived late evening In the room I was awaited by many spiders and other insect night's companions. Day after some bees joined the band to make me companions for the rest of my stay here. Wrrr. In spite of this fact room and bathroom were relatively clean , carpets are to be considered for changing. Breakfests were without complaint ... stuff friendly and helpful but generally this hotel looks a bit cold and impersonal.

  Advisable choice for those visiting Eisenach by car

  The hotel (as the name suggests) is located in a former pilot school built during the Nazi period in the 1930s. It has since been used by US, Soviet, and GDR armies only to finally become a hotel. It is located outside Eisenach so you will probably be happy to learn that if you want to try local beer and cuisine you don't have to drive to town but you can use the restaurant. Even if you choose to dine elsewhere, make sure you come to breakfast (very good selection of various dishes, cold cuts, cakes etc.!) if only to take some tea and admire the massive pseudo-Romanesque columns, a distant echo of the nearby Wartburg castle.

  Only reviewing the Restarant Belair

  Indoor and outdoor seating. Old rustic charming dining room. Very friendly service but lacking English language. Plenty of dishes to choose from. Food delivered within a decent time. Very large portions.

  Wonderful apartment

  We were surprised how spacious the apartment booked was. Refreshing as many other hotels provide much smaller. The setting is fantastic, with views over the surrounding countryside. Breakfast plentiful and constantly stocked, the waiting staff are very attentive. Only trouble was that we arrived after 11 pm and thankfully a member of the bar staff could check us in. But as a place to stay cannot fault it.
