  Visiting Friends in Mackay

  My Lanai apartment was spacious and well-equipped. Clean, comfortable, spa bath in the main bedroom was a nice inclusion. The building has secure parking underneath. Located centrally in Mackay. Walking distance to a shopping centre, with supermarket for groceries etc. Nice swimming pool and extremely helpful reception staff. My only disappointment was there were no blinds or curtains in the living room, so at night it felt like a goldfish bowl.

  Lovely views, convenient location

  A very comfortable weekend in the Lanai apartments. Contrary to what others have said, I found the residents very friendly and helpful. The apartment was modern and comfortable. We had a beautiful view over the river. This is a central location and I was able to walk everywhere from here as my husband took the car.

  A Comfortable Stay and Fabulous Service

  We decided last minute to take a weekend away in MacKay and right from that moment the service provided by the team at the Lanai was fantasic. Booking: I booked the accommoddation through a web based service and within a short time I had an email asking what time I shall be checking and details of our stay. I responded shortly after and had confirmation within minutes that the requested time was able to be met. Check-In: Efficieant and professional. Again, the offer of assisting with local information, advice on restaurants and local amenities were offered and gratefully accepted. Apartment: We had an apartment on the 9th floor. The apartment had a fuklly equiped kitchen and all the amentities one may want. The room was very clean and tidy with great views across the river and out over the ocean. Check-out: We left prior to reception being open. General: The management and staff in this property are focused on providing the best experience and could not have been more helpful. Value: As for value for money, this property would be hard to beat. We highly recommend this property when visiting MacKay. Location: The Lanai is only minutes walk from Canelands shopping centre, the water park and a good number of restaurants/cafes. Thank you to Management and staff for providing an envirionment for a great weekend break away!

  Awesome roomy apartment

  Great apartment with large rooms, nice resort-like pool and surrounds, great area to walk along the river foreshore (including the Mackay mangrove boardwalk), good parking, ultra friendly and helpful staff.

  Great Apartments

  My apartment was spacious, comfortable, modern and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and large balcony overlooking the river. It has everything required for a short or long stay including washing machine and drier. It could only be improved by making it feel a bit less "blank". e.g. needs some pictures on the walls, cushions for the sofa (had to use pillows!). Good facilities - nice pool (although the hard wood sun loungers could do with some cushions!), small gym and a sauna. Location is right on the river next to the lagoon and a big shopping centre, just a short walk into the city centre. Very quiet, no noise disturbance at all. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable. Recommend!
