  4-star luxery for 3-star price

  Very spacious room and bathroom. Modern, new and luxurious. All rooms open directly to the comfortable garden. Breakfast is served in an aircondition pavilion in the garden, or on the roofed terrace, according to the guests whishes. The hosts Eva and Wally speak english very well and are very helpfull. They rent out electic scooters with a discount and advise very well about what to visit and where to go in the surroundings. We had a great time here, thanks to ou very nice, comfortable room, the delicious breakfasts, and Wally and Eva who were very nice!

  Really nice

  The hotel is really nice, the room is big and clean, really nice design. The view is of the garden which was a nice place to sit (or would have been but it was really hot). The breakfast was nice with a little variation each day. Downside is the location, especially if you have no private transport. The closest shop is about 10 minutes walk away and the beach about 30-45 minutes. There is a restaurant 'next door' but that could get a bit boring. They did have electric bikes for rent. Think this is more of family hotel rather than as a base for exploring.

  Excellent Service

  My wife and I stayed at the Lan Hai Inn during our recent trip to Kenting. The owner, Wally, was extremely helpful from the time we made our reservation to the time we checked out. He picked us up from the bus stop in Nanwan, helped us arrange a tour for the following morning, provided tips for visiting the sights, and dropped us off at the bus in Hengchun when it was time to leave. He even packed us breakfast to go when we were leaving early for our morning tour. Overall, the service really friendly and made us feel very welcome. In addition to the fabulous service, the room was spacious and comfortable, had great AC (the weather was hot!), a nice bathroom and a lot of extra amenities including bottled water, a fridge, coffee/tea and nice toiletries.

  Nice stay with quiet rooms and helpful staff

  We stayed at Lan Hai Hostel for four nights. The rooms are quite big with many amenities. The staff, especially Wally, is very helpful and can recommend some interesting spots for hiking or sunbathing. There is also a seafood restaurant nearby which is owned by the hotel host as well. Very tasty!
