I didn't have to pay the bill, so . . . .I'm not sure that ANY room in this town is worth $300/night but it didn't come out of my pocket so . . . . Our room had a king-size bed, a jacuzzi for 2, a balcony overlooking the beautiful patio, his & hers robes, AND a fireplace ! The room was very clean and, of course, the building is historic and centrally located in the heart of this town.

Birthday StayAfter going back and forth between New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ, I chose the Lambertville House to celebrate my significant others 60th birthday. We truly love old, historic hotels in historic locales and this one definitely fit the bill. We stayed in the Carriage House suite on the second floor. It was wonderfully cozy. Large bathroom with soaking tub, lovely toiletries, plenty of towels and bathrobes. We had a gas fireplace in our room, and the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in a hotel. Having stayed at many other historic properties which are similar (the Red Lion Inn in the Berkshires is one that comes to mind), the rooms in the main building are often on the smaller side, as that was how things were back then - everything was smaller - rooms, doors, bathrooms etc. Id recommend staying in the carriage house. You must take the stairs though for the second floor, so keep that in mind. The restaurant was excellent as well. We ate lunch there. The soups were wonderful - French onion and shrimp bisque. They make a nice Bloody Mary as well. The staff could not have been nicer. Its important to note that they are facing rather large hurdles right now in complying with Covid protocols and they are doing an excellent job. Outdoor dining is available, and there is a large tent set up outside as well. Another plus with staying in the carriage house is that you do not have to walk through any common areas or take an elevator to get to your room. The Lambertville House is a wonderful, historic property with a very good staff. We will definitely return!

Disappointing FacilityMy husband and I along with another couple stayed on a cold weekend. We were in the carriage house first floor while our friends had a room in the hotel. While the carriage house room was nice, there was so much drafty cold air coming from the door and windows, it was uncomfortable. The room heater could not compensate for it. We turned on the gas fireplace however the smell of fuel was so overpowering, we decided it was better to be cold than to asphyxiate. There was a huge jacuzzi tub in the room and I wanted to take a hot bath before bed to warm up. After filling the tub about 4 inches, I ran out of hot water. We tried to figure out the confusing 2 tank hot water heaters in the closet and saw a portable heater wedged in between which we turned on to help. After calling the front desk, the night clerk came to inspect and brought us another portable heater for the room which ultimately helped. She was not aware of how to help with the hot water issue though. She did offer us another room in the hotel but as there were no more king beds available, we decided to stay with the portable heater. It was a frustrating evening but on a positive note, the bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding. Ultimately for $300 a night, we should not have to deal with these HVAC issues. I would not recommend the carriage house in winter.

Perfect Little Winter GetawayI always wanted to go to the Lambertville House for dinner/drinks but after looking at their website more thoroughly, I was interested in booking an overnight as they feature rooms with a whirlpool tub for two and a gas fireplace which I thought would be a perfect mini getaway over the winter season. With so many room choices (which all looked amazing making it a tough decision), I called the hotel directly to ask questions and decide what was the best choice for me. My correspondence with the staff over the phone was very pleasant which made it easier for me to make a final decision on the room to book. My reservation was initially booked at the end of January but due to potential covid exposure (my bf and I ended up both testing negative but I did not have the results yet), I decided it was best to cancel the initial booking and postpone it at a later time. The Lambertville House was incredibly understanding, flexible, and accommodating when it came to having to reschedule our stay which I ended up booking a month later just out of caution. After a smooth check in, we first went to their restaurant for dinner and drinks. They have a lovely outdoor setup with heat lamps but we opted to stay inside where we had lovely service and a delicious, casual meal. I liked that their menu featured entrees but also small plate options if you wanted something lighter to eat. I ordered three different sliders and they were all very good! As for drinks, I always like a good lemon drop martini and it was quite refreshing--it did not disappoint! Needless to say, I definitely look forward to coming back here for a dining experience. Our actual stay was wonderful and I loved the Carriage House King room which was recommended by their staff. It is separate from the actual hotel (just a building within walking distance and by their parking lot) and on the first floor. (There is also one room above--the Carriage House Queen and I think if I were to book again, I might like that one even more so because it appears to be even more private although the one I chose was very convenient without needing to take a flight of stairs). The decor was historic and felt like home. The whirlpool tub was really nice and we had no hot water issues. If anything, I had to cool it down at one point when I was filling up the tub. The fireplace (took a few minutes to figure out but we eventually did) and comfortable bed made it an extra cozy experience. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a romantic getaway or a place just to relax. The location is right in the heart of Lambertville and you can easily get to New Hope by foot by crossing the bridge. The next morning after check out, we were able to venture the area to look at some cute shops and for breakfast we went to the Ferry Market in New Hope which was also a great recommendation from the hotel. Just as a FYI, we stayed on a weekday (it is about $100 cheaper) which I recommend as it is always quieter during the week including the restaurant (which usually ensures extra good service), enough parking available in their lot, and a good savings which made it an even better value. I cannot say enough good things about this place and look forward to booking another stay here in the future!

Nice overnight stayStayed this past weekend and was pleased with most about this hotel. It is located right in the middle of town which is very nice. The parking was alright. When I arrived all spots at the hotel were taken. I then had to walk two blocks to the courts parking lot and park all the way in the back. Wasn't a fan of that experience. Upon check-in, I was greeted warmly and my room was ready an hour before check-in. The room itself was big and clean as can be. I have to say the reason I picked this hotel was the giant whirlpool tub which did not disappoint. Only negative was the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. Wasn't too hard or too soft but just not comfy. Perhaps it was the small pillows. Due to Covid, the hotel bar closed at 9 on Sunday which was disappointing but not the hotels fault.
