    Surprisingly big room

Shocked by the big room and toilet it offers. The owner is very friendly to recommend us food and things to do for the stay. Surprisingly there is also an elevator(rarely seen in a homestay) so we don't have to carry our luggage upstairs. Breakfast is also provided. Quite a good stay and is definitely worth the price.

    Decent BnB

Stayed here for a night with my family of five in a quad room. Paid NTD 800 for an additional bed and was only given a floor mattress, pillow and quilt blanket. Room was surprisingly big for a quad room and it has all that one need for a night stay. Do take note of the controllers though as different controllers control the lightings and tv channels.

Cosy and slow pace area to stay if you want to take a step back from the hectic city life

This homestay was recommended by our driver, at first I was in a dilemma as I felt that the price is considered high for a homestay. However after staying, I enjoyed talking and listening to the boss regarding his coffee planting and tasting. The quad room was huge and theres elevator. The place is quiet and the mornings is filled with neighbours chitchatting. It felt warmth, maybe because I stayed in the kampong area when I was younger. The boss brought us to a remote mountain area to view fire flies, it is something my family had never seen before. It was literately a sea of fireflies. Lastly the breakfast spread was Chinese cruise and it was great, although it was only a two nights stay, the breakfast spread was different in my Asian opinion. I think the westerners would beg to differ. Upon leaving, the boss gave us some of his self harvested coffee and also tea to enjoy for the rest of our journey. I would stay there again if I even return to taiwan.

A great hotel in a fantastic location.

This accommodation was located very close to the pier on the edge of Sun Moon Lake. Our room had wonderful views of the lake, especially at sunset. We stayed for 3 nights - there are many things to do around or near the lake. The cable car to the Formosan village revealed a surprise. The village was not what we expected, it was huge and went down the hillside. There were cultural performances as well. The Wenwu group of temples also stretched down a hillside! We went on a bike ride around the lake, and paying a bit of extra money for an electric bike was well worth it. Our host at the homestay, Larry, had excellent English, and was most friendly and helpful, as were the other staff. He came with us when we hired the bikes, bringing a discount voucher as well. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and we were so pleased with our homestay accommodation.
