  clean and quiet

  the room was spacious and very clean personel friendly very polite and helpful.The breakfast lay out catered mainly to the chinese and korean customers who made up over 90% of the guests.The breakfast layout for westerners had all the basic items.English was no problem with the check in staff.The hotel was a bit far away of interesting sites but taxi fares were cheap only between 10 to max 20 yuan.To tzhe airport about 37 Yuan.I did not see any restaurant of intderest near by.Opposite is a tiny supermsrket for beer water snacks.A branch of the Bank of china near by.Cross the wooden pedestrian bridge turn to the right than left after about 50 meter is a backery walk to the next crossing then turn right and after about 70 meter the bank is on your right hand side.This is a good hotel for business people who are on a diet.

  Safety and good location

  The location is great, there is bus stop front the hotel, many small stores and restaurant near by. It come with free breakfast. The hotel stuff are friendly, but the hotel is little dated. The hallway have no AC, feel hot!

  A solid 4 stars

  Nothing to fault here; it was just what it should be. Well-maintained rooms, great lake view, obliging service, excellent croissants at breakfast. A pity that the pool & fitness area were under renovation. For me it was great to have a Xiamen Airlines office in the hotel, and the staff there were excellent.

  Great location, Nice room

  The hotel is located right at Xiamen downtown. Easy to travel around Xiamen. Variety choices of breakfast. Lake view were spectacular. The room itself was clean and big enough. Staffs were active and nice. I'd stay there again.

  A perfect stay for my family

  This hotel satisfied all our needs during your stay. It is a very high bar to hit especially when we have a senior and a western kid in the group. Lots of little thoughtful things made this stay very special for me and my family. Most of my hotel stay in China are limited to Marriott chain which are considered as luxury places in China. Jinyan might not be as fancy as some Marriott but definitely has surpassed some Marriott hotels in different ways. It is situated in a very nice location in the center of Xiamen with Yundung lake next to it. Worked out with my morning runs and evening walks. The rooms are very clean spacious with a nice sitting area. I was told this is renovated a couple of years ago so room appeared to be pretty modern and bath room is up to date as well. The complementary accessories are plenty without asking for those. I especially liked the hair strings offered. My mom mostly the glasses wipes again without asking. The staff observed someone used glasses in the room and left the wipes there. A local specialty tea bag was provided there with a nice tea trey, pot and cups. Very thought through for the guests. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Lots of options to try for local delicates as well as bakery stuff of my younger one which loved Croissant, egg options, and fruits. I was pretty happy with expresso machine they had. They were also offering Supper after dinner meal around midnight on site. Not great for my weight but definitely a great time for families to chat before bed time. We were able to rent a wheelchair for my mom so she could go to most places without walking all day. More like a mental relieve for her and myself. We took their shuttle to airport which is quite convenient. You will need to call them to reserve your seat. Only one tip to give: there are None-smoking floors vs smoking floors. Be sure to book or ask the floor you desire. Definitely recommend and will be back when I have the chance.
