Superb! We stayed one night at the Lakeland, we booked a Japanese style room with private onsen on our balcony and a view of Mount Fuji with dinner and breakfast included, it's not cheap but it was worth it. We went to the tourist information at Kawaguchiko station and they called the hotel for us, who came to collect us immediately. When we arrived at the hotel they were charming and explained how everything worked, we could wear the kimonos at all times in the hotel (ladies can choose their kimono from a range), that in itself was very relaxing. They explained about using the onsen our private one and the public one and that our futon beds would be made up while we were at dinner. We enjoyed the onsen experience and although the day had been very wet Mount Fuji came out for a short time to enhance the experience. Dinner was WOW! We were served a Japanese banquet, the food was delicious and it just kept coming. We had a choice of mains but the rest was a big surprise, I had advised them in advance that I don't eat meat and this was no problem and some of my dishes differed from my husband's. It was a truly unforgettable dining experience. The next morning came with wonderful blue skies and a fabulous view of the mountain from our private onsen. It was a fabulous experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Good view and serviceEvery staff is nice and warm welcoming. They introduce us in all what we should not miss and as first time visiting Fuji. Good food and tasty in Japanese style. Recommend and hope to visit on next trip.

Nice ryokan in Mount FujiI have stayed in this ryokan for 2 nights, heard that it has fifty years old with fifty rooms. Their staff are polite and can communicate with English, enjoyed their onsen and sauna. Their traditional onsen dinner is nice, while breakfast is buffet style. Unfortunately Mount Fuji was hiding during my staying, otherwise should be able to see it each morning.

Great dinner with friendly staffOur room package included dinner and food was good after all. Friendly staff from the bus driver, reception and restaurant staff. The only bad point in this hotel was it was old and not worth to pay for 600usd for a night. Room very was old and the wallpaper on the wall was very dirty and torn. Time for some renovation going on and lower down the price would be much appreciated it. Lastly many mosquito at the roof top and was bitten up.
