  Amazing views!

  We are currently guests at Lake black shear for a few days and wow! Gorgeous property if you can appreciate the natural setting on the lake! The main building is nice and feels like a country home and the villas are super comfortable for the price and feel bigger than a hotel room with the screened porch. Very uncrowded and big spaces to walk around and enjoy the beauty! The people could not be any nicer to the guests! The lake is down and the marina is not renting boats but thats no ones fault. Thank you for having us would definitely visit again and the general store right across the road is very nice

  On our way back to Florida

  This little hidden paradise is absolutely wonderful. It is only about a 10 minute drive off of 75. It is so well worth the drive. Every person we spoke to treated us like family. Its so quiet and pretty. We were stunned actually that we ran acrossed it...Its simply beautiful. The pictures does it no justice. The room, the food and the beauty of the park. We cant wait to go back! Especially for the price! Its 4 star all way around...

  Golf and Stay

  We got the unlimited golf package and the stay was excellent!!! Nice grounds and the golf course played great considering the rain! Merion was a great host at the club house.... challenging layout! Drinks at the bar were pricey as well as the food!

  Beautiful Grounds

  Wish I could give a rating for the grounds and a rating for our villa. The grounds were beautiful. I enjoyed walking the trails, watching the wildlife, and just relaxing outside. The villa was an entirely different story. Upon entering our villa the first thing we did was to check the beds. One bed was fine but the other had hair everywhere. The tile floor was filthy. We immediately went to the front desk to make them aware of our displeasure. Housekeeping did come and strip the bed. She also swept the floor but it really could have used a mop. I had noticed a stain on the floor but just figured it was a stain. My husband stepped in it and it was wet. What in the world??? Overall, our villa was just filthy. Mold was growing on the furniture in the screened in porch. Black stuff was on the walls. Broken shower head, the top to the carafe for coffee didnt fit and coffee poured everywhere. When we checked out I was asked about our stay and I was honest with her. I showed her pictures I had taken and she said that she would speak with housekeeping. She did take 20 percent off of our bill. This wont be anyplace I will be spending the night in the future.

  Amazing stop on my way to Florida

  Its really only about ten minutes out of the way if youre traveling down I-75, and I liked it so much I just may take a vacation some day with this place as my final destination. We stayed in the Villas, which are spacious, clean, and comfortable for a family of 4. We loved walking down by the lake and marina, hiking, and just enjoying our room and patio. I couldnt recommend this place more. If you dig into the reviews, almost all of the negative ones are of the cabins, which I didnt even see, but the villas are an absolutely amazing experience.
