  They are not ready for foreign guest

  First time here for business. Actually I didnt expect much for the rooms and facilities as this is not a big city. The first impression of the building is good, the rooms are nice too. The most disappointing part is none of the staff can speak simple English. I have great challenge to ask for directions of nearby massage parlour, ordering food in the restaurant. They should at least attach some photos of the food in their menu in order to facilitate non locals. I have to use Google translator for every single item with the staff. Overall, the hotel is consider good but in order to attract more foreigners, the hotel staff should speak at least simple English.

  Candle fastival

  I booked room during candle festival. The room was ok. We requested 1 extra bed to be set in room and the hotel confirmed. At check in, staff at front desk did not know that we requested an extra bed. No extrabed set in room, we wait until 5 pm, no one come. We decided to go out to the festival and had to inform staff at lobby again and found that staff totally forgot. They should improve the communication.

  Continues to disappoint

  Once again a group of 4 couples, occupying 4 rooms, stayed for one night at this hotel and it is likely to be our last as no renovation has occurred, either for the public areas or the so called deluxe room in which my wife & I stayed. Whilst check-in & check-out was satisfactory, the staff found it difficult to offer the Thai smile of welcome. The 2 bellboys on the other hand were welcoming and assisted with our luggage. Our room on the 8th floor continues to have shoddy electrical facilities as shown in the photo. You should be quite careful if you are plugging in any appliance such as a CPAP machine. Our small group were the only people eating dinner and the staff were attentive throughout I guess because the bill was rather high. The carpet I suspect has not been cleaned since it was laid adding to the general feeling that the property is very tired and desperately in need of considerable TLC. Given the cost of accommodation & meals it is much easier to find another property that would exceed expectations along with a cheaper room & food account.

  Find another hotel

  I booked the Laithong for the pool and it looked like it hadn't been used in months - filled with green nasty smelly water. Nothing like the picture on the internet. The rooms left a lot to be desired - uncomfortable beds, outlets dont work, bathroom had mold, windows don't close, generally run down. When I checked into Laithong, I had tea. Several hours later I was violently sick. The only good thing was how they shaped the towels into elephants.

  Comfortable rooms and good price

  We had one of the large suite rooms for 1800 THB. Lots of space, two rooms and especially large tiled bathroom. Large bedwith clean duvet and big pillows Breakfast was ok - mainly fried rice dishes. Great som tam restaurant opposite for evening meal.
