  Peaceful and good

  Cap Green has clean apartments with everyhting you need. It even has a tiny dishwasher. It lays in front of a golf course, but you don't hear anything from it. we were staying on the first floor and had a little piece of the garden. The apartment on the second and third floor have balconies. we were with 3 adults and had 2 beds and the third person had to sleep on the couch/bed. This was a bit tiny, but not the worst. But If you want to book with four adults, make sure you have two bedrooms, or else it's going to be to small. It is located near the sea. ( about 1 kilometer) and there is a pool. although we were located at the bottom of the appartment building, we didn't hear any noise from neigbours. the apartments are clean and you are supposed to clean in yourself on the day you leave. you need a car to go where you want, you can only walk to the sea. When you check in you have to pay for the deposit, this was 300 euro. If you do not have a credit card, be sure to have that money ready!

  Peaceful place in a nice surrounding

  We had an apartment with alcove for 5 and it was just the right size for our family of four. The rooms were spacious, and we really enjoyed our ground floor setting with the terrace and lawn access. The kitchen corner was, however, rather small and it was difficult to prepare other than very simple dishes. The Lagrange residence is located in an area of 1920s villas so it is nice and interesting to just wander around and admire some of the neighboring properties. The residence itself lacks an atmosphere though. I also liked the beach which is located 10 minutes walking from Lagrange. On the practical side I did not like that the parking lot is accessible only via stairs and felt rather far away (it is 3-4 minutes walk, depending on which property you stay in). Also, we ran out of hot water almost every day.

  Decent apartments - a bit of a walk from town

  We stayed here for a week in October. The apartments are overlooking the golf course at the outer edge of Sables d'Or les Pins. The complex is very peaceful. We had a two bedroom duplex. The flat is on the first and second floor so there is quite a steep outside stairway to the front door which would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The lower floor of the flat has an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area and the sofa can also be used as a sofa bed. The dining table is a good size with 6 chairs. The flat is advertised to sleep 6 and that would be a squeeze but it is a good size for a family of 3 or 4. The kitchen corner is small. There is a microwave, 4 hob cooker and dishwasher. No oven as is often the case in French self catering. There is a kettle and toaster. The equipment is basic but fine to make meals. There are enough plates/glasses etc. There is a balcony overlooking the golf course with tables and chairs. We did not use it due to time of year. The TV has only French channels. Wifi can be purchased at 20 euros per device for in the apartment. Mobile signal/3G/4G is patchy. The bathroom with double sink/bath and shower over is a good size and was clean. The WC is a bit claustrophobic with the door closed. There is a good sized under stair cupboard and bucket/mop/hoover etc are provided in there. Upstairs there is a very large bedroom and a smaller bedroom. Both have dormer windows and were pretty warm - we did not need heaters at night and in fact opened the windows quite a bit. The double bed in the smaller room is small. There are built in cupboards in both rooms with shelves. The only hanging space is a few hooks on the walls in each bedroom with 4 or 5 hangers. The apartment was clean. There was the Lagrange inventory provided on arrival where you are expected to count the spoons and other items then hand back. The end of stay inspection involves the staff member checking these things although it was less hassle than at the Lagrange in Cancale where we stayed before. It is a bizarre thing that LaGrange seem to do in all their places but it is best not to get worked up about it. The indoor pool is a good size and heated although not very warm. At the time of year we had it to ourselves any time we went for a swim. The town centre is about a 15 to 20 minute walk downhill so coming back up is a bit of a slog. The town itself was very quiet in October. It has the feel of a resort that did not quite take off. There is a bakery/salon de the, a few restaurants and in summer a small supermarket. The beach is beautiful and there are lovely coastal walks around the area. In nearby Erquy there is a large supermarket and a larger town with bakeries/fish shops etc. There is also a bakery in the next village - about 5 mins by car. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend for a family holiday. Probably not suitable for anyone without a car/limited mobility. It is also very quiet so unlikely to appeal to teenagers!
