  Not a 150USD a night hotel

  Macae is always solidly booked, so the great hotels are about 200 a night, a sordid B&B is about 80 o 90, so this hotel at 150 is about right for the local pricing, but no for the service provided. By the way, I've booked through a bookings dot com website, and the reservation was not there at the hotel. Anyway, as it was a long stay they got me a room, and I guess they've screwed someone else's. But for that money, a bit of a better setup could be provided. They are in dire need of Wall painting / New bedsheets (they were not dirty, just looked thin after 5 years of use) / New TVs / A cook. So, I put it last in my list for Macae, to go only before any pousada, but I think is a rip-off for the money. The restaurant: I've asked 3 days for a different meat dish (with a different name in the menu), and they get me the same breaded meat each time. Breakfast is OK though.

  For Macae it is actually a reasonable hotel. The service was excellent from both front desk and restaurant staff. Rooms comfortable. Rooms facing beach are nice but first room I was in the patio for did not lock and access from pool / bar area made uncomfortable to stay so moved to another room all handled well by reception. If hotel was in the US or Europe you would say was average but for Macae was good. Only down side it is a taxi ride from restaurants etc....

  this hotel is amazing... the service room it's great... a nice breakfast... the beach in front to the hotel it's great too! if you wanna eat something you can go to cavaleiros Beach, there is great point in me
