  Historic Hotel

  There hasn't been a whole lot of updating to the rooms and such but was still an interesting place to stay. The location is fairly convenient. I did not have a chance to try out the breakfast. Prices were very affordable.

  Good place for the price

  My daughter and I stayed here for a night. An odd assortment of rooms, no two double beds but we got two twins. However the price was right and it is a cute quirky old hotel. The decor definitely matches the era lol. Don't bother getting a riverview the window is tiny, save five dollars and just get a town view. But it is right along Riverwalk and close to cute stores and restaurants.

  Thanksgiving weekend

  Traveled 8 hours for a weekend with my girlfriends family. Due to COVID wanted to give business to the smaller hotels. On there website the say cable TV thats a lie 13 Chanels and really only 11 channels. One channel voice and no video and the other channel video and no voice. Asked the about the TV and the receptionist was rude and said they could no do anything about it. For the price you pay for a 4 night stay you would think it would be cleaner rooms and more attention to the guest..They need to sell to a major brand that cares about it guest !

  Horrible customer service

  Made the reservation super late after being with my grandmother at the hospital while she passed.. checked in at 130am.. front desk gave me a hard time for making reservation through expedia and checking in so late.. acted like she never had a guest do this.. after having a loved one passing and being exhausted ... I booked a room that was suppose to have a pulled out couch for an addition price and only got 1 bed no couch or pull out . Was too tired and defeated to go back down to ask what was up.. in morning told the front desk about 5he experience and they said you have to request a couch/pull out if you want that not all parlor rooms have that.. and they could not take anything off room for my trouble 9r horrific experience .. said next time you stay remind us of your horrible experience and we will give you an up grade.. what?!! So unprofessional! I will not be staying there again.. and will not set up friends or family there ever again.. management need to know about their staff and how they are scaring away good customers who are very loyal and stay there and recommend their accommodations which will never happen again.. so sad

  We visit Lafayette semi-annually! Have been doing so for many years!

  We would not stay anywhere else in the greater Marietta/Parkersburg area, and have changed our plans so we could stay there. The staff is FANTASTIC, from the desk to the house keeper to those who keep us warm and cool! The restaurant and bar staff are the best! The menu is a daily treat from the included breakfast to a delightful dinner, desert and cocktail! Our room is always impeccable. The beds are more comfortable than ours at home!
