Dissaponting!I have to say that the description provided on the website is inaccurate, these are not cottages, these are home trailers. Our trailer was clean, and it had most appliances needed, except a toaster. The master bedroom was ok, however the room with two beds was extremely small. All beds were awful, they had no support and it was hard to sleep, some of us ended sleeping in the kitchen as the sofas offered more support. The next morning the power went off so we couldn't use any electronics nor appliances so we ended leaving earlier. There were 2 horses in a very limited space. I am not sure if they are aloud to go somewhere else often, it seemed like they were bored and didn't have enough room to run. The internet never worked, we tried multiple times to connect our devices and it was unsuccessful. Price per night is expensive. I don't recommend this place.

It depends on your expectationsIf you expect a conventional cottage from the title then you'll be disappointed; you just need to look through the photos here or on whichever booking site you use to understand that each structure is similar to a small home suite on a wide train, boat, or like a well appointed trailer. Everything is designed for compactness, so don't expect to store luggage larger than a strolley / duffel bag. In the three-bed room, that luggage needs to be stored under the lower beds. The bunk bed has a weight limit of 70 kgs and the removable steps have thin rods as rungs, so good for children (unsupervised kids under 6 not recommended according to the bunk label), and agile and not-tall adults. The instructions in a laminated sheet on the wall are reasonably clear. They use several routers around the property so you'll see more than one network, the wifi was ok, not great. Good for texting, not so good for email or streaming video. There are individual radiator heaters in the rooms but temperature control is via a thermostat near the door; that wasn't clear so we had to ask them that. The windows are double glazed so the place was warm at night, the wind (it is an open site on a low rise exposed to high winds) buffeted the structure slightly and could be heard softly whistling over the roof, so it did have the feel of a camp site. The site appears to be a working farm, like so many places in Iceland, and the 'cottage' area still under some construction (they are adding more) so an earthen road, gravel parking, some trenching (for now) in the middle of a gently sloped meadow. All the structures practically the same great view to the fjord that lies to the south / southwest and the picturesque hills beyond it. At less than half the price of real cottages during the high season, this is a good deal if you go in knowing what to expect.

convenient for one nightThe room was new, very comfortable, but there is no view. Heating and wifi worked very well. We were lucky to see northern lights close to our room. The location is convenient for one night, between Reykjavik and Akureyri.

Perfect little cabinWe spent two nights in Borgarnes at this comfortable, well-equipped cabin. We took advantage of the kitchen for most of our meals, and enjoyed the spacious living room area. Much better than a hotel room, especially for a family! The cabins are several kilometers outside of town, so a car is necessary, but the gorgeous views and privacy were well worth it! Highly recommended!
