Amazing!Villa Kacy was amazing, we'd definitely recommend and we are very keen to come back again. The hotel is beautiful, with donkeys, peacocks and lots of wildlife, and the food is really nice at a reasonable price, and the service was excellent. We don't speak much French but it was very easy. The hotel arranged an airport transfer for us at an additional cost, and helped us with everything we needed. Most days we got a taxi into town, which cost us around 200 dirhams return for two people, but you could haggle this I imagine. The room was really nice and overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely go again. Thank you very much to everyone at Villa Kacy!

Tranquility and Relaxation ExperienceWe stayed at the Riad Les sources Berbères. The owner of Riad recommended this lovely place just 15 taxi ride out of the town of Marrakesh. We visited twice as it was so lovely and very good value for money. Entrance fee is 200 dirhams for one person including 3 course lunch, water and nice big fluffy clean towels. Extremely comfortable sun loungers with lots of bug umbrellas from shade. Cool relaxing swimming pool. Showers and changing rooms available, clean toilets and hand soap. All included in the price. Very clean and well maintained. Food is first-class class, traditional Morrocan food including dessert and starter. We had a beef tomato with mozzarella, drizzled with fresh basil and oil. Then I chose beef kebabs and a delightful orange creamy cheesecake. You can choose what time you want lunch. We are at 2.30pm with nothing too much trouble. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Birdsong and wildlife around and two lovely friendly pet dogs. They didn't pester you for food etc. It's a really good thing to do to escape the full on fun and mad of Marrakech town. Just chill out in the garden space. Taxi return for two people was 200 Dirhams. The Riad les sources Berbères arranged the taxis etc. I can highly recommend this Riad. Look it up and I recce you stay there forever luxury and pampering. Michelle and her husband are French and make sure you aren't looked after. So pleases they recommended Villa Kacy to us.

Beautiful and relaxing, but...This is a perfect place to stay which is away from the hustle and bustle of central Marrakech. It's beautiful, like a little oasis in the middle of the desert. However, don't expect a traditional Moroccan welcome... it is run by a French owner/manager, who doesn't really speak any English which became slightly awkward at times. When we arrived the manager met us, and pointed us to our room (which was lovely; big, comfortable and clean), but then left and we had to figure out everything else for ourselves. No tour around, no mention of the restaurant, bar, pool, games room, facilities, nothing... This was a little disappointing and didn't make for a good start. It's a shame as in Morocco you expect a certain level of hospitality. The manager did however speak at length to the other guests (who were all French) which did make us feel slightly isolated. However, once we settled in, we realised this place is a 'home from home' type place, very relaxed (almost too relaxed) and you have to ask to get things whenever you'd like it, and they are happy to oblige. The staff were all lovely and happy to help. The only member of staff who spoke English was a lovely barman called Abdil (who was one of the saving graces of the villa), and he had to do a lot of the translations (as did Google Translate). However, he was not there every day so it became hard. We ate there once, but again, there is no menu, you just have to ask when you'd like to eat (although you have to give them 12 hours notice for dinner...). But the food was excellent. You can book taxis into central Marrakech through the manager/bar staff (in broken French) and it is 100dh one way in the day, and 150dm after 20:00, which is very reasonable and well worth it. A taxi from the airport is 200dh as 'it's not in Marrakech'. All in all, it was a lovely stay with a beautiful pool, surrounding and setting (although the peacocks and donkeys were VERY loud in the middle of the night...but that's country living for you...) and definitely recommended, just don't expect a Moroccan riad type welcome or experience. Go for lots of sun, rest and relaxation, just swot up on your French before you go.
