  Horrible experience

  This review is for Margaritaville Conroe, you can't leave reviews on their page or they will have "zero" stars. Let's start, I reserved a cottage with a loft for 6 people, they said that 6 people fit comfortably in the cottage, let me tell you that is not comfortable, the loft has 2 twin beds, not double beds that is described on the website, then the loft is only 2.5 ft tall, very short, no one tells you this. They charge you extra for every single person in the room, 1 restroom, 4 towels, 1 toilet paper, 1 coffee pod, they don't prepare the room for the amount of people that they charged you for, if you wanted to use the sofa bed, you need to make it by your own, they won't make the bed for you. Then the AC/heater was not working properly, we had the technician coming to fix it 4 times in one night, they decided to move us to another cottage, we moved, the heater was fine and the begging, then stop working at 2 am, of course we were freezing, someone decided to fix it at 8 am. They told us that because all the problems, we can leave at 3 pm instead of a 12 pm, I said OK, then what.... They charged to my credit card an extra $100, when I called and ask why, they said extra time.... I said wait, and explained all all-over. Besides charging you a $465 plus taxes for the cottage, they charge $45 for resort fee WTF, extra, no one again tell you about this extra fee. I'm very upset about all the experience and for the price paid I was expecting and excellent service and the cottage to be ready for us!

  Texas getaway

  We stayed at the Margaritaville Lake Conroe during our trip for one of our stops. Rented a cottage (no.17) for last six nights. This was the only location that called themselves a Resort and is why we drove the extra distance. It does have a nice layout with pools, restaurants, golf etc. We did not stay in the main hotel building so I cannot say much about that. We decided to pay more and stay in a cottage. It is definitely not worth the upgrade. But I can tell that the cottage we stayed in is not much to be desired. The layout inside is not very well laid out. WHEN the heat/ac works, it only supplies the front and back rooms and nothing in bathroom. The functionality of the air supply is not the greatest. With it being newer technology, you would think that would keep you comfortable. Heat only comes on after about an 6-8+ degree change from thermostat. Plus there are no instructions on how to operate the remotes to air. Very confusing. We receive an error code and reported it to maintenance. The sound level is overwhelming while watching TV. The water is only like warm and is not hot at all. The hot water is set to a very low temp. With no heat supply in bathroom, Luke warm water in shower is not good in February. Toilet is is stained and dirty (looks like grannys old toilet at the lake cabin). Plan to live out of your suitcase, no dressers or drawers in the bedroom. With COVID, there is no room service at all. Most hotel chains are cleaning rooms after 2-3 days during your stay. The resort makes you call housekeeping to replace towels/sheets. Plan to make own bed, even after a few days. If I had to stay again, the cottages is not on list. Most of my complaints are design issues that cant be fix easily. When I did call and ask about the water temperature and issues with air supply, the maintenance department said that there is nothing they can do about the water temp and we needed to know the remotes had to set exactly in sink with each other. So nothing was resolved. Glad to be checking out tomorrow.

  Valentines Night Out

  My husband and I stayed one night for our Valentines date this year and it was amazing! Even with a freeze coming in the next day we still had a great time! The food was so good and the rooms were so cozy!

  Very supportive and forgiving

  I had my honeymoon night planned and unfortunately they had to cancel my honeymoon night. I was kind of upset but its easy to find another place. Dustin was very kind and genially felt sorry about cancelling. I was very understanding and Dustin handled the situation with the most professionalism and kind hearted. I will definitely be coming back to Margaritaville for the support and care that the employees treat its guests.

  Wedding Party Room Block

  I organized a group of rooms for our son and daughter-in-laws wedding which was February 2021. We had multiple rooms over the course of 3 nights and hosted the rehearsal dinner there as well. Our entire wedding party had a wonderful time. We played late-night mini-golf. We basically took over the Landshark Bar-we sat by the outdoor fire pit and overall just enjoyed the entire resort. The staff is both helpful and friendly-just what you'd expect. Texas hospitality! If you are considering booking a wedding block-I DO recommend this resort. I worked with Jo for the room block and Kenna for the rehearsal dinner-both went above and beyond to accommodate every request to their best ability and both are true pros. Definitely a 5 star experience.
