  Very good hotel in a beautiful part of France

  We were booked to stay 11 days in a standard room during the heatwave (very unusual in this part of France). So I was really worried about aircon. There was no mention on booking.com and I didnt believe a standard room would have any, so I was counting on the room being on the roadside of the hotel and thus on the north. It was - and it also had air conditioning! Mme explained that rooms on the first floor had had aircon installed the previous year but she couldnt include it in the room details because not all rooms had it yet. There was also a kettle and tea/coffee, again not mentioned for a standard room. So we were very happy from day one. As others have said, the room was a good size, the garden lovely (the pool was never busy though at a good temperature), the parking ample and free. The perfect base for walking/reading/relaxing. We only ever saw two members of staff, both of whom were unhesitatingly friendly and accommodating, despite often being worked of their feet. The hotel is almost 15 mins walking from the centre of town so we worked out different routes to make it more interesting - and so discovered more restaurants, the cinema and a fabulous cheese shop and butcher that sold the famous and delicious Salers beef. And the walk meant we walked off a few calories after eating ENORMOUS meals. Portions everywhere are very generous, making full use of beef, cheese and potatoes. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel because we never eat breakfast so cant comment on that.

  Comfortable and quiet.

  A quiet hotel in a residential street. The room was of a good size and comfortable, overlooking a well-maintained garden. The receptionist was welcoming and very pleasant. Parking at the back (access from a different street) is free.

  OLD FASHION OUTSTANDING

  Very special people, super parking, nice garden and pool, close to the centre, walkable, If You are with friends or family take the number 32......very nice suite. The beds are comfortable, big bathrooms, good wifi

  Good all around

  The hotel is only a short distance from town and has a nice outdoor pool. The rooms were good and the staff was friendly and helpful. We felt the first room we were given was not sufficiently air-conditioned and although the hostess disagreed she cheerfully gave us a different room.

  Very nice

  Nice and tranquil hotel in a nice and tranquil city in France. Characteristic hotel with garden and swimming pool, room nice and tidy, could not enjoy all services due to cover restrictions. Best part is the very good service by the staff
