  The hotel is beautiful with the most luxurious entrance and foyer. The pool is lovely with unobstructed sun and plenty of beds. The rooms are delightful with balconies and very effective air-con. The breakfast is the normal continental, but the down-side is the awful virtually inedible food served up for dinner, some of which we could not eat. There are plenty of good quality restaurants within walking distance, which we used after the third day attempting to eat hotel food. The other down-side is the lack of a proper beach, which consists of large boulders. This is a shame because either side there are man-made sandy beaches. The hotel beach is a platform made of old rusty scaffolding with steps down to the water; not what you expect from a high-class hotel. Town centre is 20 minutes walk away with an effective cheap bus service to the whole of the of the island. There is also a number of cheap boat rides for round island trips.

  Rooms are small, old, floor was broken and the heater was rusted. although we booked for 3 people the room wasn't ready for us when we got there, they seemed surprised that we were 3, and it seemed that a towel was already used. personnel was extremely rude during the breakfast (I even heard one of them making bad comments about us in to other employees, in front of other guests, and just because we had asked a non dairy milk for our cappuccino, which they never provided after the second day, although we said we don't drink any dairy milk. the private access beach is not even a beach, but an extremely rusted structure with sun beds and umbrella you have to pay for its use. The spa was not as complete as they said, in fact it wasn't possible to have a massage in the afternoons, nor a couple massage, not even making any effort to try to accommodate our requests. The thermal pool was dirty, and the inside pool had several missing and broken tiles, open ended pipes and animal excrements on the borders. The sauna didn't work every day either. Overall a terrible experience!!!

  Nice hotel with beautiful views, and graat hospitality

  We had a nice stay of 5 nights in this hotel in a room with seaview and a big terrace. Gaetano at the front desk was very helpful and has a great hospitality. Th private beach with sunbeds kust next to the real is great.there is a lovely restaurant. The serve fresh seafood and nice wines. Forio is a Nice village, you walk along the seaside in 15 minutes. Hotel Scogliera is a nice place to spend tour holidays.

  Overall a nice clean hotel in a lovely location. Food seriously let it down.

  Lovely quiet location. Clean rooms. Fabulous frontage. Cleaning staff and front of house staff were very friendly. However the food seriously let down this hotel. We did not at any point see any food that resembled the food pictured on the hotel website. The buffet style starters consisted of very overcooked tasteless vegetables. The main on our second eve was accompanied by frozen carrots only. My dirty tableclothe was eventually turned over .We tried twice but ended up eating out for the rest of the holiday. Having paid extra for half board the holiday worked out expensive in the end. Pool and SPA in need of some TCL.

  6 nights of heaven

  Had a lovely time at the Scogliera in Forio Ischia thanks to the very kind staff. Pina and Margaret gave me lots of super recommendations and were always available for our every request. So kind and helpful. The View of the sunset from this hotel Is a thing of beauty and the lovely entrance Is so nice to hang out in. Most beautiful sunset in Ischia!
