  Lekker eten , good food, excellent hospitality, nice peaceful at family owned restaurant.

  Nice choice in the kitchen, or straight from grill. Fisch , porc steak, or chicken or porc souvlaki. Peaceful terrace. The kitchen is super clean, the restaurant inside is neatly organised, the lights are choosen excellently. All together a place to stay for dinner, with a good ratio of price and quality.

  Possibly the best place to stay in Methoni!

  We visited here in summer 2016 and it was great! The pool is absolutely stunning and so is the view. We stayed in the apartment, there is a kitchen come dining room and bedroom with two single beds, another bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom. The facilities were relatively basic however included everything you need. At first we did not have a kettle, we asked and the next day we had a brand new kettle. There is also international television. The only complaint is no safety deposit box however we were informed it would be coming soon.

  Relaxing countryside escape

  A beautiful location with breathtaking views. Apartment was spacious, clean, modern with one balcony view of the countryside from the master bedroom and another balcony in the family room with views of the sea and castle. Hospitality was excellent with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Gorgeous pool and patios. Olive trees, gardens, and flowers adorned the resort.

  Perfect place to stay in methoni

  We stayed here in August 2019 and it was an excellent place to stay. It is situated about 1 mile outside of Methoni town, up on the hill that overlooks the bay, the town and the castle. We are a family of four, with two teenage kids and we stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was modern and a good size, with a double bedroom and two single beds in the living room / kitchen area. Both rooms had air conditioning. The apartment has a spacious balcony which looked out over the bay, with amazing views to Methoni Castle. The whole hotel is extremely well looked after and there is a fantastic pool, which is only for use by the guests. The apartment was very clean and serviced every day and the owner, Giorgios and his staff were very friendly and welcoming and helped with anything we asked. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are looking for high quality accommodation in Methoni.

  Great place... in desperate need of professional management!

  This hotel (or rooms & apartments complex) has a great potential due its privileged position on a hill that allows great views of the sunset over Methoni Castle. Its setting together with a pleasant pool and spacious rooms could grant easily one of the top options in the area. Having said that... the owner just hung up the phone one me! I told him I wanted to email him with a few comments I had on the room so I wouldnt have to write them here and it would have been easy for him to fix these minor issues. He felt threatened and screamed at me he didnt care about my email. I see how he hardly cares about his place and it is such a shame. So the room was spacious and airy with great views. However it was lacking basic maintenance. The shower was clogged with limestone which made one of the two shower heads (the biggest and would have been the nicest one) useless. So I had to shower holding the shower head in my hand (hard to wash your hair for a lady!) Shampoo & shower gel were provided but not dish soap even if the kitchenette was nicely equipped. We were traveling with a small baby so used the kitchenette to heat up his food and needed some detergent to wash the few utensils used, not so much cooking for us. When I asked him he said they normally dont provide it (Normally when there is a kitchenette there is also dish soap and a new sponge for the guest!) but gave me some as a favor in a little bowl. Now the mattress of the single bed included in our room was DISGUSTINGLY moldy and stained. I noticed and told the lady who came to make it for our baby and recommended she told the owner/manager as it should be replaced - I could have the baby sleep on such an unhealthy mattress! The owner totally ignored me on this. Moreover nobody wore masks in times of Covid: not the lady who came to our room with the extra sheets & towels not the owner himself who was the only other staff at the time making coffees for us when we asked or selling beers at the pool area. We were regularly charged for the beers and coffees we requested however he was wearing no mask while making them nor was any kind of bar open at the time we were staying - the two empty bottles of beer we drank sat on the same place on the closed pool bar for the two days we stayed. The door lock needed some maintenance too as it was so hard to turn due to the sea salt in the air probably I was afraid I would break the key... I ended up breaking my finger nail instead! It could easily be the time for an upgrade to key card locks - safe and touch less in times of Covid as I doubt keys are disinfected when passing hands. Finally on the day of our check out we were shouted at (again!) for being late. My understanding was check out is usually at midday and we were out shortly before then. However the owner said that due to Covid the law says we have to check out at 11 to give them time to clean. Now I would understand that with a full property but we were the only ones staying!!! We never met any other guest during the two days we stayed and Covid regulations recommend you leave the room empty and check in (any) other guests to a different room when available. I didnt see any guests waiting to check in though, just the owner getting stressed at telling my husband to leave quickly as they had to rush to clean the room! STILL I recommended the place to my uncles family who were charged randomly more for our same room (which seems the only room in use as far as I can see?!) I enquirers about the price policy as I seemed very strange to charge 25% more for the same exact room and he said there was an extra child!!! (Both children are under 10!) anyway... the worse part of the experience being the owners lack of interest in any feedback or comments, his unprofessional behavior and rudeness I cant be bothered with specially when on holidays. I have been a hotel & hostel GM for over a decade and have always been open to receive any comments and fix any problems asap. This experience leaves me sad, when we were the only guests at the property and the atmosphere could have been very friendly and proactive. We were recommended the property by a friend which I am sorry for as they probably know the place for its beauty but havent experienced staying there. It is currently impossible to book the property online on any OTA so the owner can do what he wants with prices depending on his mood. Prices listed on their own website are a scam as my uncles family were charged the price of the two room apartment for the simple studio (one room only) at the owners discretion. I might be forgetting more stuff to report but it all ends up being in desperate need of a good manager, caring for the place and its guests!!!
