If you love the sea, this is THE place to stay!We were looking for a couple of nights on the coast in southern Puglia and the pix looked nice so we booked... Few places have wowed me this much. There are 15 rooms and four or five suites: ALL have views to the gorgeous sea and the pretty marina. When we were taken to our room the view made me say "Wow!" But the BIG wow is that you can literally climb down a ladder right from the hotel deck into that amazing sea. I have been all over the world and the water here is simply incomparable heaven. Perfect temperature, crystal clear, so salty you float like a cork. Delicious. Other hotels have pools. This one is the ONLY hotel in the marina where you can get off your lounger, takes few steps and be in the sea. Cannot describe how magical that was. I can tell you that after two nights on we wanted to book another night but the hotel was full. Luckily we asked one last time and someone had done a last minute cancellation so we got to stay two more nights! Staff are also super nice and helpful. The rooms are pleasant, decent sized, decent sized bathrooms, good towels (beach towels also provided), top 15 all have decent sized private balconies with a couple chairs, bistro table. Each room is also assigned two deck loungers and a sunbrella. (Cost to rent these for those not staying at the hotel 18-30 per day!) There are only about 10 parking spots for 20 rooms (others pay on the street) so if driving down, contact the hotel in advance and reserve a free parking spot! The hotel provides a continental breakfast, and espresso machine real cappuccinos or whatever you prefer at breakfast. We never tried the restaurant but you can get a room with half board and it seemed pretty popular. There are half a dozen eateries within a few minutes on the marina but go to the lovely historic center at the top where there are many nice cafes and restaurants. Absolutely plan to return to this hotel! (TIP: if you plan to use this as a base for exploration go up / down the east coast - beautiful and close by. Gallipoli on the west was too far and frankly the low point in 11 days in Puglia.)

Could be more customer focusedI was concerned that the advertised car parking might be a pipe dream and to an extent my fears were realised. The road to the hotel is one way. The entry to the car-park involves a steep descent taking a U turn manoeuvre. Another U turn may be required at the bottom of the ramp. Because space is a premium Reception were hounding you every time you park to ensure you are entitled to be there and that you have parked correctly. On the day we checked out I had trouble leaving as the road was blocked because the hotel was having a supply of building materials delivered. I tried to go down the one-way street the wrong way but was boxed in by the council lorry who were replacing streetlights. No mention made by the hotel reception that road closed when we checked out thankfully we were not heading to the airport to go home. The hotel was like a building site with unpleasant noise, first they were replacing a huge area of decking, then they were using a generator to power a paint sprayer. Next the room next door required repairs which again was a noisy process. The shower drenched bathroom floor every time due to poor design of shower cubicle. It is not made clear but the restaurant is a separate business which means you pay as you go rather than add bills to hotel bill and settle at end of stay. Menu is limited we only dined once but the steaks were under done despite us making it clear that we wanted medium. Breakfast range is limited which is not surprising given the small number of rooms in the hotel. One had to often wait whilst items replenished. Tv reception took days to fix. Internet down a lot. Bizarre affair with our bedroom door which could not be locked from inside. On one occasion Chambermaid left door open all day. The location next to sea is a fantastic view but access to the water is only suitable for good swimmers due to depth of water. We liked the stylish décor of the hotel. Service by the bar and restaurant staff very helpful particular mention to Cesare. It was nice strolling around the town with restaurants close by. We took the little road train to get to the castle in the evening which avoided the steep climb on a very warm evening as it only cost 2 each. We enjoyed our stay overall it was simply a case that it could have been better without some of the problems.

Mixed feelingsA hotel not worth its 4 stars. Just pretty simple. The view is super. The room has an ok balcony towards ses and is clean and nice but extremely simple. We love snorkeling and rocks so therefore the "beach" is perfect. But the restaurant is really bad in all ways. Al together, sadly not a place we would like to return to.
