  Saint Francesco II apartment

  Spello is a beautiful, very picturesque medieval town and this apartment was located down one of its small streets. We really liked it here and the bedroom and living areas were very spacious, however it has a very small bathroom. The hosts were very welcoming and easy to keep in touch with when arriving and organising parking. We were hoping there would be a washing machine as part of the kitchenette but there isn't - our fault for making wrong presumptions. Wifi could only be used by one person at a time. Overall we did enjoy our stay here and it is a great base for exploring umbria. We would definitely recommend it, although if were were to return we might look at one of there other apartments.

  Wanted to stay longer

  Very spacious & comfortable, we almost hated to leave the room, but beautiful Spello beckoned. Appeared to be recently renovated. Monia was flexible and very helpful with information about surrounding towns and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and return.

  Hidden gem

  Wonderful setting atop Spello. Forget having a car. Take the train there and walk. You can walk down the street to either the main city, or begin a hike towards Assisi along the hiking trail that follows the old Roman aqueduct. We rented ebikes in the center of the old city and rode out to Bevagna and Montefalco and back. The room had a small kitchen perfect for colazione and evening aperitif.

  Lovely studio apartment high stop Spello

  My sister and I stayed one night in Spello at this lovingly appointed and cared for apartment. It is located near the highest point in Spello where the vista is beautiful. Since it is an uphill walk, its important to pack light and wear comfortable shoes! It is worth the walk to this quiet spot. The apartment is one of several located in a beautiful old stone building typical in Spello while having modern conveniences and design inside. Monea and her young son, Diego, welcomed us warmly. Wish we could have stayed longer.

  Very good for price

  Rented a room here very last minute and got a good (ie low cost!) room only rate. Due to a miscommunication between us and the owner, we waited around 30-40 mins to check in. The cave itself was lovely with a separate bedroom off the livingroom and kitchen. Parking was free, in a public car park not far away. The location was ideal for walking around seeing the sights. We didn't have any view from our accommodation and breakfast wasn't included. I would say, I was bitten like mad in Spello (even wearing long sleeves and trousers!) so do take insect repellent!
