WORST EXPERIENCEI have been a Rewards Member for years and never had a problem with LQ. However, I had booked a free room with my points. I drove over 200 miles and when I arrived, they wanted $100.00 cash deposit. I asked when I would receive the deposit back and I was told after housekeeping had cleaned the room the next morning..... I had to leave for a meeting early the next morning and could not wait on housekeeping. Not happening

Never again!!We booked reservation on LaQuintas web site, no mention anywhere of $50.00 deposit for incidentals, arrived and was told $50.00 deposit or no room! When I asked to speak to the manager of course one was not available, clerk was rude and didnt care that the main site didnt have any mention of the deposit, if it wasnt late and we hadnt driven 4 hours it would not have happened. We paid the deposit, left to go get something to eat, got back we walked into room, only 2 pillows on a king size bed, light bulbs missing out of two lamps and for the grand finale my went to use the toilet and what was waiting for her, someone elses crap! Literally!! We grabbed our stuff walked up to the desk and asked for a full refund, where we were asked why so we advised what we found, the clerk said thats impossible my wife told her no its not!! The clerk made a key and started to the room, my wife started to go with her and the clerk insisted she didnt need help, that wasnt acceptable to my wife as the clerk instantly got a severe attitude, my wife followed and the clerk tried to slam the door behind her, wife stopped the door and watched as the clerk immediately went to the two lights missing bulbs (we never told her which lights), then she went into the bathroom and took a picture while on the phone with her manager ( communication was not in English, you can probably guess what language). She came back and advised they dont do refunds and they would put us in another room, we advised no way we were staying at that hotel, so we needed a full refund, she again refused to refund us or get her manager on the phone, so my wife called LaQuinta corporate customer service. CS (customer service) was shocked at not only what we found, but the attitude of the clerk, CS tried several times to call the clerk while my wife was on the phone with them, I finally advised the clerk that the call was corporate wanting to speak with her. The clerk finally answered the phone speaking with CS, she got back on the phone with her manager, went back to the room where she was doing who knows what for 20 min, then came back doing something on the computer speaking non English to her manager, after another 15 minutes she handed my wife a refund page to sign, my wife didnt even finish her signature when the clerk snatched it out of my wifes hands, my wife asked for a copy and the clerk looked at her like really and even asked you really want a copy, my wife said of course, wouldnt you want one! We gathered our belongings and we were out of there!! I have never been talked to and or treated this way ever before, I will be having a lengthy conversation with Corporate within the next few days, along with the local Health Department regarding conditions, and as I am disabled there will be a call put into the American Disability Association, not to mention the number of Covid violations!!

price gouging, dirty room, no waterPaid $200+ including taxes for a 1-night stay(2/17/21) at this LaQuinta during the ERCOT power grid disaster. Having no power or water in my home for 2 days and sleeping in my car to stay warm at near zero degrees, I agreed to this over-priced room.. Having pets really limits your hotel options especially during this situation when so many needed help. The rack rate+ price was the only reason this room was still available in this area. This property really took advantage of the disastrous situation as I'm sure many did.. I realize I could have walked away but I didn't and was willing to "pay the price" for a warm bed.. Since paying the gouge rate, I feel the property should meet the minimum standards of a 2.5* property.. The LaQuinta website claims you can "Count On Us" for the "elevated safety standards" to which each room is cleaned due to covid concerns. That standard doesn't exist here. A hair net plastic bag was left over the smoke detector in my room and the fridge contained items from the previous guest. The glass closet doors and windows had obvious children hand prints and smudges all over them from the previous guest so I know those areas were never wiped down. The back of the door had some dried red/brown material which I assumed to be blood.. Later in the day the hotel lost all water supply so we weren't able to take a shower or use the toilets. All issues were reported to the front desk. They listened to all the complaints and replied the hotel manager would review the situation along with my rate and would let me know what they planned to do prior to check out. At check out, I was told the hotel manager would be contacting me later in the day to discuss the problems and make adjustments. I agreed, It had been a horrible few days for everyone. That returned call never happened. That was just a ploy to get me out of their hotel without making a scene. I contacted them later in the day requesting to speak to the manager but was never connected. So basically they refused to reduce the max rack rate charge for the night claiming issues such as loss of water was out of their control. I understand that, but the premium rate charge is in their control. This Wyndham Rewards member is very disappointed with this property and how they treated members of their own community during a near disaster.

Great Potential but DirtyRoom and pool was not clean. Multiple stains on sheets and pillowcases as well as very dirty floor, not vacuumed; with the last guests food still present on the floor and in the closet. Modern facility with great potential and awesome location with everything you may need less then 10 minutes away but not clean. I reserved 2 nights but only stayed 1 due to the dirtiness.

Needs to cleanHad read the reviews, wanted to stay somewhere else. However this is where the school was staying, wanted to be close to our child. The reviews were accurate. Needs cleaned, No breakfast, and they require a $50 deposit on top of your room charge. Will never stay here again.
