  France in the Tropics

  We spent three weeks at La Playa and had a wonderful time. The hotel has just recently reopened after being badly damaged by Hurricane Irma. The rooms are nicely furnished and have a very clever kitchenette setup. My only complaint was that we had a ground floor room and virtually no view of the ocean. The staff were wonderful! Everyone went out of their way to help. The breakfast was simple but delicious with warm croissants, fruit and egg dishes. The pool and beach were delightful and nicely maintained. The hotel is only a short distance from terrific French, Italian and Asian restaurants. We loved the French influence in the area! We plan to return!

  Must visit!!!!

  Fabulous food! Amazing service! Friendly helpful staff! Best on the beach! We had such a lovely day today that we will be here often. GP is wonderful and funny. Nicholas was there with drinks whenever we needed him. The waitstaff was friendly and punctual.

  The best hotel in Saint Martin in many ways!!!

  We spent a week there with our children, and honestly I don't remember being so warmly welcomed in a hotel EVER! First the hotel itself is lovely, décor is beautiful and every détail is thought out with a lot of taste and care. Every single person who works in the hotel is kind, available, patient and extremely knowledgeable about any request you might have which makes the service in La Playa so EXCELLENT! Ask for Katy, there is not one dream you have while on the island that she won't fulfill! Breakfast was included and is set on the beach with delicious pastries and again, amazing smiling and friendly staff. Everywhere in the hotel is very very clean, they made us feel very comfortable even with Covid situation, we felt so genuinely cared for that we felt like we were in a dreamy worry-free world again! I recommend this hotel a million times!!!!!! And we definitely will be back there very soon.

  Another wonderful week at La Playa

  We just spent another great week at this amazing piece of Caribbean French Paradise! It was our second,so expected visit to this hotel, loved by us from the first time. We got home safely and slowly recovering from our journey from winter to summer and back. We did not get a chance to thank the Goddess of the inspiration of this property - Manager Katy in person when we left .Therefore, we are happy to take advantage of this opportunity right now: We sincerely thank you and your team for the warm welcome, for the attention and care,a sense of complete security, despite the raging quarantine situation in the rest of the world, we felt through our stay. We were absolutely delighted with the room in which we placed on this visit - the everyday Atlantic Ocean and an exceptional Orient beach view from the balcony, which suggested that this is paradise. We would like to express our special gratitude to you, Katy, for your active and at the same time sincere support for us personally regarding the tests necessary for our return home. We would also like to express our special thanks to the wonderful Spanish-speaking young lady - Marie Ale, who served us breakfast every day. It's a simply a great success for you to have such a professional employee in your new restaurant team.She is the best! The entire hotel grounds and our room shone clean every day.And the stunning manicured tropical garden delighted us day and night.   La Playa Orient Bay

  Excellent! We visited mid January 2021 and had amazing time. The hotel has been refurbished recently and our room was brand new and very well done. The service from everyone was OUTSTANDING. At breakfast, at dinner, everywhere in the hotel everybody is smiling and willing to help with anything. The beach it gorgeous and the sea its beautiful too. Overall we felt very safe and we enjoyed it to the maximum. Thank you all!
