  Good Value Hotel

  We stayed half board at this hotel for a very good price. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly. Sonia on reception was particularly helpful, we emailed to say we would arrive late and she arranged to have a meal waiting in our room when we arrived. Our waitress in the dining room was always smiling and cheerful. The hotel is very clean. It is in a quiet area of Jesolo one block up from the beach. In the evening, everyone walks up & down the street past the shops and bars, You need to take your own hairdryer & kettle, also toiletries (you do get a small supply when you first arrive). All rooms have a balcony, unfortunately ours overlooked the kitchens & bins of the next door hotel so not the nicest view. The meals are very good, breakfast was a help yourself continental buffet, dinner was 3 courses plus a salad buffet. We particularly enjoyed the pasta courses Most of the guests at the hotel were either over 50s or young families. Jesolo isn't the place for hen & stag parties or the club 18-30 crowd. Like most hotels in the area, the al Gambero has it's own section of beach with free umbrellas & sunbeds. To get to the hotel from Marco Polo airport just catch the bus to Jesolo bus station then the no 3 bus to the hotel, get off at the stop after Piazza Nember (look out for the Hotel American). You need to buy tickets before you get on the bus. It's also easy to get to Venice on the daily ferry trip. I would recommend the hotel as good value, just remember it's a 3 star hotel so don't expect 5 star luxury.

  Good compromise quality/price

  The hotel is nicer than I thought, nothing special or to be considered if you want to spoil someone, but a very good compromise between price and quality. The room is not small and clean, and the bathroom is big enough to have a shower without making strange movements. The breakfast selection could be improved but it is not bad. As an added value the hotel has a private parking, private beach, providing sunumbrella and beds for free. Nice solution for a stay with a family.

  Very bad Quality

  Dirty washroom, remiss cleaning, neighbors was loud ,noisy workers,there is no insulation for noise, no hot water in the morning, water comes out from A/C,the fridge was loud, the lights did not work in the living room and washroom

  Great stay/good value for money

  The room was nice and clean, albeit a bit small. We've had a huge balcony/terrace though, which was a bonus. The hotel is located in a rather quieter part of the resort, which is another advantage. It's also really close to the bus stops and there's a supermarket right across the street. Breakfast and the espresso served were also pretty good. The hotel has a private part of the beach with sunbeds and all (included in the price of the room). The blonde lady from the reception is also very nice and helpful (not very fond though of the gentleman who kept requesting the key each time we left the room, as a safety measure I suppose). Also, the rooms have paper thin walls, just in case you're very keen on, you know, listening to extremely loud operatic music or something.

  Great pizza!

  We met some friends here for dinner. Service and food were excellent. Casual dining. All pizzas are classic with a twist. If you are American they also served bagels! The manager were attentive, the food arrived quickly and the wait staff was responsive to all our needs. Totally recommended!
