Arrived after 9 hour drive to be told they don't have our rooms
We had booked via Expedia 2 rooms for tonight and had left St Sebastian early this morning and driven 9 hours to arrive late afternoon. We had 2 double rooms booked, one for my elderly parents and one for myself for one night. It didn't look promising when we arrived at reception as another couple were there and then walked off with the receptionist I think to look at rooms as they were not happy with the room they had been given. So we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally the young chap arrives back and asks our names, we hand over passports. He says "Oh, yes, unfortunately we don't have rooms for you anymore. We had an issue with another guest and now there are no rooms for you". Did you bother calling on the mobile number on the reservation to give us a chance of finding something else rather than looking around early evening in horrific traffic for somewhere to stay? NO! Of course they didn't. Give this place a wide berth.

A Gem in Mougins
After a week of staying at Hotel Lune de Mougins I did not want to depart. It was an absolutely relaxing and rejuvenating week for me. The three star hotel can easily be a four star, due to its wonderful spa. The spa includes a sauna, hammam, unique showers, heated marble beds and multifaceted jacuzzi. What more does one want from a spa? Not necessary to get a massage, or anything else, unless one wants more. The price paid for my room included entrance to the spa, so no extra cost. Also, a wonderful, spacious outdoor pool that has both shallow and deep ends for swimming. The rooms and beds are very comfortable; along with a terrace to enjoy nature. The hotel is situated in a tranquil location in Mougins. The staff along with Michele the owner were courteous, helpful, and went the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable. Last but also important for a hotel is the cleanliness and the cuisine offered. Besides a set lunch menu, one can also enjoy a gastronomical dinner, which changes through the week. Along with superb servers, a savoury meal amongst a beautiful view, all in a clean environment. The village Mougins and Hotel Lune de Mougins are both places I would definitely visit again in my future.

Low quality, dark, for us was nothing like what the photos show. Huge disappointment
The photos look lovely however reality brought us back to the earth. You can easily expect much more from a 3 star hotel and I am not demanding. Perhaps I was unlucky with my room but; It was tiny and very dark, it smelled damp, the bed felt damp, the extra bed for our daughter did not stand properly on the floor and every time she moved made a huge noise plus the mattress on it was super thin so she did not sleep well. With it open our walking space was limited to less then a metre on the remaining 2 sides of the bed. Everything felt old and cold and the lack of view really did not help.The french doors opened directly to the patch of grass and hedge at the back of the hotel. The room door was off the corridor which was unsecured and droughty and anybody could enter without having to go through the reception. The shower was fine, the separate toilet only barely just ok. The hotel was mostly clean but the overall feeling and experience was not pleasant. The room and the corridors very badly lit. We didnt try the spa so cant comment. Theres no one to help with the luggage. Breakfast, well, scrambled eggs, sausages, a little ham, jam and bread, nice cake loaf but best of all was the fresh orange juice which customers can squeeze in the electric squeeze but it was only served on one day. We checked out after 2 nights as soon as we could find place somewhere else. We moved to Le Manoir de LEtang, which for similar price is like moving to completely another world.

Our French friends chose this hotel for us, we greatly appreciated the calm and serenity of this hotel, pretty garden, beautiful swimming pool, very pleasant staff, simple and cool, we will come back to it good value

charming hotel in peace
We really enjoyed this hotel, we had a nice room with a nice bathroom, we really appreciated not having to talk all day with staff as is often the case in guest houses, we like to be calm to find the lost serenity, everything was perfect
