  Exquisito almuerzo!!

  Un lugar tranquilo frente al mar . Estuvimos viendo como parten los kayacs que van a La vive de la jolla . Es un poco complicado encontrarlo ya que esta situado dentro del Hotel . Comimos un salmón con polenta y verduras fabuloso. Muy buena atención Relación precio calidad muy buena. Súper recomendable!!

  Wonderful Vacation

  We stayed at La Jolla Shores Hotel for 7 days and couldn't ask for a better place. The beach is right outside the hotel and beach staff set up everything for you. The hotel is close to many nice restaurants within walking distance so no need to drive anywhere. Will definitely be going back.

  Lovely place to stay but a few things to consider

  We stayed here for 4 nights in a third floor ocean front king room. Upon check in they had a first floor room for us, but we requested a third floor and they accommodated our request without hesitation. We did have to wait a few hours longer but we still checked in early. When we got to our room there was a lovely card and bottle of champagne from the hotel as my husband had mentioned we were there celebrating my fortieth birthday. I loved that they were so thoughtful! Our room 340 overlooked the beach and was almost next to the boat launch area. We quickly noticed that on the beach below this was the area that the local kayak companies came to unload and conduct their classes to set tourists out on adventures. It was good people watching for sure. The room itself was nicely appointed and clearly had been updated. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are super soft. You know the kind where you lay on it and your head sinks to the mattress. There arent a ton of outlets but we made it work. The shower head is quite low, for me Im only 52 and I thought it seemed low but my husband is 65 so it was a little challenging for him. The room though was airy and felt beach. It was really nice. Heres things to be aware of, at least in our experience. The first night we had our sliding door cracked open to hear the ocean, at 5am we heard a ton of boats being unloaded. It was loud! So we closed the door and turned the air on which itself is quite loud. Secondly every morning we were there city workers would come out to clean under the boat launch area with a big tube attached to a giant truck and also pressure wash the area. So no mornings sipping coffee on the balcony listening to the ocean. More like listening to the very loud whirl of machinery. This started anywhere from 7-9am and would last about two hours or so. That was a huge disappointment. Im not sure if this is an every day thing but it was while we were there. Will we go back? Absolutely! But we will be sure to ask for a room as far away from the boat launch side just to be on the safe side. With the sweeping views, airy hotel, kind staff and easy walkability plus, beach access and accommodations this is a lovely place to stay, even with the noise issues.

  The beach comes to you

  Our last stay was 3rd floor right on the beach and you couldn't ask for a better combination of elegance and beach fun. Well appointed and clean room. Had all our meals right there at their restaurant. Delicious!

  Dont bother

  This hotel is overpriced, way overpriced for what you get. It desperately needs refurbishing. Not enough plugs to accommodate phones and computers. No hot water in bathroom sink. Walls are paper thin. The hotel was at 40% capacity Thanksgiving weekend, yet they booked a family of 6 right next to us who kept us awake. La Jolla is worth a visit but not at this hotel.
