  Fantastic stay

  The hotel is just perfect, nice rooms, good breakfast, smiley and nice staff! The location is perfect for who wants to relax in the green. The spa is also very nice, spending one hour there was just magic. Cost/satisfaction ratio for the stay was great!!!

  breath taking views...

  Just returned from a short (3 days) trip to the Belgian Ardennes. More specifically we stayed in Hotel La Grande Cure in Marcourt which is in the province of Luxemburg (Belgium). The hotel is cosy, nice, clean and has a wellness area on top of a hill overlooking the hotel and the surroundings. Sauna inside, complete with shower and everything and a jacuzzi outside! Great spending some time in the jacuzzi in steaming hot water with an outside temperature nearing zero degrees. Fun! The personnel is very friendly and masters several languages next to their native tongue. They are fluent in Dutch, English, French...and responding to any wish you may have. Well stocked bar with fireplace, comfortable chairs etc..very nice to sit back and relax after a long day with long walks in the fantastic Ardennes! The quality of the food is more than what you would expect from a small hotel. The Chef proposes a set menu every evening with a "star"level. And of course you can let him know if you have a certain allergy or when you really do not like one of the courses. We were happily surprised! Short, very nice place to spend a couple of days in the Ardennes. Marcourt is situated at short (by car) distances from La Roche, Durbuy, Marche-en-Famennes and even Bastogne (battle of the Bulge) is at +/- 38 kms.

  Nice hotel and restaurant in the Ardennes

  Nice small family hotel with a comfortable room. It is on a hill so there is a nice view of the village, especially from the restaurant's terrace. The staff is nice. The restaurant offers excellent food. Not a gourmet fanatic and not usually impressed by food but that was something beyond expectations. On the minus side - no coffee machine or tea kettle in the room. Also, for those with allergies the carpet in the room might be an unpleasant surprise. No idea why hotels still have those - difficult to clean, often the smell of a freshener can be overwhelming.

  Short break during corona time

  We have been in this place many times before and surely will come back. The best hotel in the Ardennes. Beautiful views , environment, many hikes start from there. Nice and clean rooms. Fantastic food. Safe to enjoy holiday during the corona pandemic. One recommendation for breakfast could be to have more options for eggs preparation .

  Not what we expected

  The hotel does not live up to the expectations created by the website. Our groundfloor comfort room had no airco and just a tiny window, not ideal during a heatwave. Lots of noises from hallway. Our stay included a 4 course dinner. The food was very nice, but there was no experience of 'dining out'. Disinterested waiter who did not welcome us or explain the menu until we asked, he just started bringing plates. No tablecloth, plastic plants, ... We missed a true host or hostess throughout.
