GREAT LOCATION AND GOOD VALUE FAMILY ROOMFamily room was big enough for bunk bed and double. Surprisingly quiet for a very central location. But parking very difficult on very narrow street. Parking day rate very reasonable but ticket machine not easy and our car was vandalised overnight. We did not eat breakfast as seemed very expensive for nothing special. Not sure what would have happened if we had arrived after 7.30 as although there's an automated check in at the front door it did not recognise our reservation. Lobby area all rather unfinished decor wise. Bathroom basic with hard old towels but functional

Great LocationThe hotel is located right by the gardens of Fontainbleau and not in a noisy area. The parking for the hotel is public parking by the chateau and you compete with many of the workers but if you arrive after 6 p.m. it is easier to find a parking spot. Between 7 p,m, - 9 a,m, the parking is free. Beware, the payment machine only took coins, no bills, if your credit card doesn't have the chip and pin feature that works.I didn't care for the walk from the hotel to the parking area because of the construction on the narrow street with no real sidewalk for moving a suitcase. The reception area is on the 1st floor, the stairs here are wide and nice, not a sign for what you will encounter further up. The room was 2 more flights up and the stairs kept getting narrower and more twisted which made it hard to get a suitcase up and down. The room was not huge but decent size since the owners thought about space and made the desk/table able to fold down to give more room. The bathroom was nicely updated with a great shower. The people working at reception were very nice, friendly and helpful with local dining suggestions. We did not partake of the breakfast since we wanted to eat our breakfast in the gardens of the chateau and enjoy the spring weather. Close to the hotel there are a lot of restaurants and pubs plus some shopping. The Monoprix has a small grocery store on the 1st floor so head up if you need a few basics.

Great location, friendly hostsFor a budget hotel, this exceeded our expectations. We arrived early, having flown from Australia and not only could we leave our bags but were able to access our rooms a little earlier than normal. Rooms are basic but a good size and the bathroom large by general standards. B dos were comfortable. At 9 euros, the continental breakfast was excellent value. We have paid more for much less, and poorer quality, at other venues. But what really made this a great experience for us was was the friendly, helpful attitudes of Catherine and Danielle. They really made our couple of days very enjoyable- even smilingly encouraged our limited and halting French!
