Too expansiveGreat stay, great welcome staff. Too expensive for what it is, breakfast with a poor choice, noisy rooms, noisy personnel. Bad mix between price and experience proposed. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean bathroom

Needs workThis property has potential to be very good, but there is much renovation to be done. The hallway carpets were dirty and the walls marked. It appears to be a huge rambling hotel. We were led far into the hotel up multiple stairs to a room of charm, only category available, we were told. It was clean but more like an Ibis chain hotel. There was no charm. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub had lots of hot water and good water pressure and there is an elevator. We didnt eat here as we were scepticle. It all seemed overpriced for what was offered. The location is great, and there is potential for someone to make this place much better as there arent many places to stay.

Needs a little TLCStayed at LEsplan while on a business trip, in a great location near the heart of town, car parking is easy but watch out for the market on Tuesdays or you could get stuck. Room was nearly updated and really nice I just think the reception and stairways could do with new carpet and update. Breakfast was fine if a little basic, I didnt eat here but the food did look very good. Im sure I will return.

Mediocre Food, Less Service and Constrained and Unpleasant Environment. We dined here on Sunday evening with a Menu dinner. The host was pleasant, seating us on the terrace and we ordered an aperitif. The Clairette de Die was wonderful, as was the muscat--but from there it went downhill. The waiter was sour and not particularly pleasant or friendly or helpful, the entree was good (tartare salmon) but the dorade was overcooked. My dining companions had the alternate dinner which was cooked fine according to them, but the entire experience was not pleasant--the tone set by the waiters was continued by the other patrons who spoke either not at all, or only in the briefest whispers. It was one of the longest dinners of my life, and I would rather had stood while eating a slice of pizza and listening to others enjoy their dinner than the pained silence and whispers. The value was poor as the entire dinner for three amounted to 130 Euros. Try another restaurant in Grignan for an evening spent in the company of patrons enjoying their meal and the surroundings.

The Food was GreatWe have stayed at this hotel many times in the past - a favourite of ours. But this time was different. We were staying only one night, were not arriving 'til the evening and had booked ourselves in for dinner. We arrived around 7.30 p.m., found the young men at the desk rather off hand and not very welcoming, dropped our bags in the room and went down to dinner. Dinner was delicious - possibly the best meal we have had there. But then we went up to our room. Peeling paintwork, filthy carpet and a toilet which looked as though it belonged in the old Soviet Union - quite disgusting! (If the owner wishes to disagree with me, I have the photographs to prove it). I cannot believe that French health and safety allowed them to let the room! In the morning, when we paid the bill, we told the gentleman at the desk (who turned out to be the owner) how apalled we were with the state of our room. No apology, no offer of a refund and just a suggestion that if we didn't like it we could have upgraded! We loved the food, but will never stay there again and, given the circumstances, may not go there even for a meal. Very sad.
